This is a property that combines charm, luxury, authenticity, a beautiful region and a warm welcome. The pool and the tennis court were enjoyed by both the children and the adults. The gardens are beautiful and perfectly maintained (the gardener comes-by every day to service the pool and garden.) Equally, if there are any problems with the house, the repair-man comes within a day. The property is familial and traditional for calm holidays. All that you need by way of shopping is 10 minutes away at St Ambroix. There is even a possibility of ready-made meals to be provided by the owner on request. We were a group of 20 friends and family members spanning 4 generations and everyone had an excellent holiday (15 days in July) thanks to the quality of the property (spacious and charming), the kindness and availability of the owner and the beauty of the surrounding region. A fantastic house with stunning views through the valley and a perfect sun terrace to dine at whilst the sun goes down. Kids really enjoyed the children's bedroom and of course the beautiful swimming pool. Olivia, August 2011 The house at Saumane was the perfect Provençal get-away for our extended family. With six bedrooms and five bathrooms, our party of 12 was very comfortable the entire stay. The setting is beautiful and the house is so charming. Each evening we prepared a family meal, and played games in the living room with the chimney to warm us. During the day, we made small trips to the beautiful surrounding villages. The living areas and bedrooms provide a cool, beautifully furnished and relaxing environment while the sun terrace offers a lovely view over the pool to the medieval village of Saumane. We had a lovely time staying in this villa. The owners are lovely, helpful, welcoming and so accommodating. The villa itself was fantastic. We did not know what to expect but with two little ones of 4 years old the place is great. A beautiful garden for play and the beach at your doorstep, internet and some English satellite TV channels. We were able to sit and relax on the terrace with a book and a strong coffee and keep an eye on them, while they amused themselves for hours. There were toys so no stress about having to buy or bring. Easy walk up the beach to town and supermarket shopping up the road - could nip out for croissants and baguettes, great what a difference having it fresh rather than stale and rubbery from the supermarket. Lots of facilities and activities for families with children and the marina and little places tucked away near the harbour for lunch and dinner in Agde. I would recommend this villa and the owners are so lovely they made sure we had all we could possibly need. I am really looking forward to going again. It is really home away from home. Just thought I would let you know how impressed we were with the Villa. Really lovely people who we managed to communicate to with a little French and a little English - it is not often a holiday villa exceeds expectations, but this one definitely did. Just a note to tell you how Tricia and I got on down at Les Rocailles, we did want to put comments on your website but couldn't work out how to so I would very much like you to add ours to the others, we did tell the Owners that we would so don't let me down :). The villa lived up to all our expectations, more so because as well as charm and beauty it retains a huge sense of homeliness, a very comfortable feeling. The family greeted us as if we were returning family friends, so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything about the holiday was wonderful and we would definitely return. A brief note prompted by the return of our holiday photos. Les Rocailles was a dream - the best beach, best views, fabulous barbeque area. If I have a criticism it's that your photos - nor ours - do it justice. To walk through the front door and see the sun sparkling on the Med is a sight I won't forget in a hurry - or to wake up in the morning to that amazing view across to the Pyrenees! We have just returned from a week’s holiday here and we had the most fabulous time. Every aspect of the house and garden has been carefully thought out and no detail is too much trouble. It is fully equipped and beautifully decorated. Comfy beds, great showers, big sofas, amazing outdoor eating area, a lovely garden and the fabulous beach is on your doorstep. The owners were charming and helpful. There is a great market every day in the nearby town as well as all the shops, bars and restaurants you could need.
