Corsica offers the holidaymaker a world of new discoveries.  The amount of tourist interest isn’t surprising once you realise how breathtaking and diverse Corsica really is. A “mountain in the sea”, it suddenly rises in the middle of the Mediterranean, only a few kilometres away from the coast.

About 25km away from Bonifacio, Porto Vecchio was built in the 1500s to reinforce the island’s defence system on the East side. Now the third most important town in Corsica, it has been subject to several developments to make it the seaside resort it is today.  A few of our villas in Corsica are close to some of Porto Vecchio’s most spectacular beaches.

In Porto Vecchio, you can take advantage of many sites, such as the beautiful Plaisance port, where regular shipping lines can take you to Italy, Sardinia or the Lavezzi islands.

Not far from the town is the Chiappa tip, which lighthouse you can visit, as well as the Aragio castellu and more stunning beaches.
  

While staying in one of our beautiful villas in Corsica, you must take days out and visit some of the gorgeous Corsican towns, such as Bastia in the North, where you will definitely feel the Italian origins of the island and get to see various strange religious monuments.

Without a doubt, you need to visit Calvi and Corte as they both are magnificent citadels hanging over the cliffs. Ajaccio holds the title for Corsica’s capital, and there you can also see the imperial chapel, the “Grotte du Casone” and very interesting museums.
