Charming villa on the edge of a typical Mediterranean wine producing village en route to the Cathar castle land.

A lovely couple, originally from the village, own and look after two of the villas, each with its own pool, on the edge of a Corbiere village. (see Ref: A1a, b and c).

While there is shared parking, each villa has complete privacy and is not overlooked by its neighbours.

This villa is built on one level, is spacious, well equipped and comfortably furnished.

Glass doors lead out onto a pool side terrace and to a marvelous Santa Fe style covered terrace/summer kitchen with huge wooden beams that were salvaged from an old barn. All the colours used on the inside and outside capture the warmth of the Mediterranean sun - mustard ochres, honey yellows and earthy terracottas contrast beautifully with the blue of the water.

All on ground floor

Fully equipped kitchen.
The dining /living room is open plan; it gives on to an outside terrace with the (8mx4m) swimming pool (alarmed).

There are 2 bedrooms with a double bed, and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds.

Shower room and separate wc.

Dish-washer

8mx4m Swimming Pool with covered panels.
This is ideal for mid season because effectively the pool is semi-heated and one can expect temperatures from April until end of October of up to 25+ degrees). It is also fitted with an alarm according to the French pool safety law.

Summer Kitchen with small fridge and sink - it is very attractive with its big beams and shaded terrace - ideal for outside dining.

BBQ - built in and part of the summer kitchen.

Outdoor shower

Garden furniture - outside table, wrought iron chairs, chaise longue for sunbathing.

Private walled garden

Car-Parking (communal for the 4 villas).

This lovely villa is situated in Montseret, a typical Mediterranean wine producing village in the Corbieres. The owners have vineyards and the local Cave Cooperative is just around the corner.

There is a small grocer's shop in the village and in St Andre de Roquelongue which is only 3 km away there are village shops, a pharmacy, café and public tennis courts.

The landscape around the village is stunningly beautiful ; nearby are the medieval Cathar castles; majestic ruins rising above precipitous summits.

The Mediterranean beaches (Gruissan, Narbonne and Leucate plages) are all within 25-40 kms, and the Pyrennees mountains and the Spanish border are only an hour's drive away (The Salvador Dali museum in Figueras is just over the border).
