This spacious country house (300m2), has been converted and furnished with great panache and style - Using steel and glass the owners have created wonderfully light and airy living spaces. The bedrooms are a mix of antique and modernist furniture.
There is a very private garden (2800m2) with a lush lawn and a shady copse of trees, where one dines al fresco. The swimming pool has an extensive paved terrace around it with plenty of sun-loungers.

Ground level:
Entrance hall leads to a spacious open plan living-dining room (80m2) with high ceiling and leather sofas.The dining area has a large table seating 12 and large glass sliding doors that lead out to the garden. Beyond is a 20m2 'sun-lounge' with billiard table which can be shaded by big rolling blinds. Close to it is a big built in barbecue.
Unusual long fully equipped kitchen.
The ground floor has 4 bedrooms and 2 bath/shower rooms and an additional shower in one of the bedrooms.
Two bedrooms have twin beds that can be put together to make "king-size" double beds. One room has two single beds and a standard double (140cm) and the fourth room has a double" (160cm). One of the rooms has a very "designer" glass shower with ciment floor encrusted with pebbles, and a washbasin.
Off the central hallway is a bathroom with double basin, and a spacious shower room.
There are 2 WCs on the ground floor; one off one of the bedrooms, the other is off the entrance hallway, but can also be accessed from the bathroom. One side of this WC is a glass wall giving onto a bamboo stand in the garden, but there is a screen for privacy.
Three of the bedrooms lead onto a terrace which has now been enclosed with glass to make a marvellous gym room, with weights and exercise bike, where one feels right in the garden.
First Floor:
Narrow stairs (unsuitable for the very young or elderly) lead up to the other two bedrooms and a bathroom. Both bedrooms have twin beds which can be put together to make 'king-size' doubles. There is a sauna off one of the bedrooms.
On one side of the landing is a spacious bathroom (no closeable door and narrow access because of stair bannister). Separate WC on other side of landing.
Although there are 13 beds, the owners prefer to keep the maximum occupancy down to 12 because this is the number that the kitchen and dining room is equipped for).

The garden with very large lawn is enclosed by a tall hedge so enjoys complete privacy. There is a 12m x 5m private pool which is fenced for safety. Beyond the swimming pool area is a fountain and pond whose soothing sound you will enjoy while dining in the shade of a copse of mature trees. Lounger for 10 and chairs for 15 guests. The owners have also recently bought table football to keep the children occupied!
On the side of the house there is plenty of private gated parking space.

10km S of Pont du Gard: the best preserved three-tier Roman aquaduct in Western Europe.

- Canoeing 15km on the river Gardon.
- Golf 12km near Nimes 18 holes (altogether there are 8 golf courses within an hour's drive).
- Tennis 10km
15 km NE of Nimes: Roman arena, still used for concerts and bullfights.
"Maison Carrée" Roman temple, 20km SW of Avignon. A visit to the Palais des Papes is a must. Many excellent restaurants. River Rhone Boat rides down to Beaucaire, Tarascon and Arles.
23 km E of Uzes. Attractive medieval town.
Mediterranean beaches 80 km.
