This property was a working wine 'domaine' until recently when the owners completely renovated the buildings and built a splendid swimming pool. The property is set in 12 hectares of olive groves and fields. The two largest apartments, Sauvignon and Chardonnay, are in a late 19th century villa, 40m from the swimming pool. Each has its own separate entrance and private terrace. The third smaller cottage, Cabernet, again with its own private entrance, garden and terrace, is part of another building about 50m away.This property is ideal for a large family holiday, where families can also have their own independence.
There is a newly converted 'open-sided' barn at the domaine, providing a shady function space for the summer months.

"Sauvignon" Sleeps 10
"Sauvignon" is the upper of the two apartments, with views of the pool from its large rounded covered terrace. You can also see Beziers Cathedral from the terrace.
Ground-Floor:
Entry from the covered terrace into the living-dining room. a well-equipped kitchen.
A ground floor double bedroom. Shower with washbasin. Separate WC.
First Floor:
A twin bedroom and a double bedroom, which share a bathroom (bath, wash-basin, wc).
A "dormitory" with two sets of bunk-beds, which has an en suite shower room.
"Chardonnay" Sleeps 8
The entrance to "Chardonnay" is around the side of the house from "Sauvignon", and at a lower level, and so the two apartments are completely independent from one another. The large sunny terrace has views over the countryside.
Ground floor
A few steps lead up to the terrace and entrance door. Front door leads into very spacious open-plan living/dining room/ kitchen (40m2), with high ceiling and exposed beams.
There is a double bedroom with en suite shower room.
Seperate WC.
First Floor
A double bedroom and two bedrooms with twin singles. A bathroom with bath, washbasin and WC and a shower room with and washbasin.
"Cabernet" - Sleeps 6 (iRated 5 stars by the local tourist board)
An independent cottage which is part of another building.

Open-plan living/dining room, well-equipped kitchen which leads out to a private south-facing terrace (20m2) and fenced garden (300m2 rough grass with olive trees). One bedroom with 2 single beds and en suite shower room (washbasin, wc).

All three apartments share the 12m x 6m swimming pool, with broad inset steps. (The pool has a high-tech cleaning system which means that you should not need to be disturbed by visits from the 'pool-man' so often). The paved terrace around the pool is fenced for child safety. Outside the fenced area is a large gravelled terrace with plenty of sun-beds for all. The hillside has been cut away so that a Greek-amphitheatre of large stone steps surrounds one end of the terrace.
Between the pool and the houses is a sloping lawn, while beyond the pool area is a large olive grove of about a hectare, and open fields. All in all there are 5 hectares of grounds, so plenty of space for kids to roam on 'adventures', ride bikes and so on.
Shared parking area for Sauvignon and Chardonnay. Cabernet has its own smaller parking area in its garden. |

SITUATION
The domaine is in the wine-growing plane just West of Beziers, with the village ofMaureilhan just 1.5km away including village shops, post-office, family bar-restaurant.
Beziers 3km. The cathedral dominates this busy market town, rising majestically above the river Orb. The lively Feria in August lasts five days; bull-fighting, paellas, flamenco dancing, and partying in the streets until the early hours of the morning.
Mediterranean beaches 10 km
Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc 20km North of Thezan are the mountains and rocky gorges of the Caroux mountains. Great canoeing on the river Orb.
Agde 25 km. Old historic town and fishing port, founded by the Ancient Greeks. Nice market, excellent seafood restaurants.
Cap d'Agde 30 km. 'Aqualand' (huge water-slides, etc.)
