This property has one of the very best positions imaginable: from the large South-and West- facing terrace, there are long broad views of the sea and in the far distance the Pyrenees mountains. This working agricultural domaine used to produce wine but now grows olives. The domaine is set amidst olive groves, which are cultivated, and the estate boasts 158 hectares of private land.
The beach is only 2.4 km away at Portiragnes Plage, a nice small family resort; just big enough to have a few restaurants, horse-riding, and boat and bike hire. This building, which was once the estate's winery, has been converted to provide comfortable holiday accommodation.
It has been awarded 4 star rating by the Tourist Office.

Master Bedroom: 15m2. Double bed (standard size 140cm) which looks out onto the terrace. Fitted wardrobe. Ensuite shower room with washbasin.
Bedroom 2: 12m2. Twin beds. Looks out onto courtyard. Fitted wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: 12m2. Twin beds (90cmx2). With stairs to mezzanine (also 12m2) with standard double bed (140cm). Looks out onto courtyard. wc off bedroom corridor.
Beyond the living-dining room is a large bathroom with bath (showerhead over), two washbasins. Independent wc.
Utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and extra fridge.
The owners have added an extension, which is comfortably furnished, light and spacious providing an additional living room, which can double up as a bedroom at night, and an extra double bedroom. It comprises a large living area with a double sofa bed, a Double Bedroom and a bathroom (Shower and Sink), along with the Separate wc off the Living/Dining Room and 'Sejour' (2 independent wcs in total). The living room looks on to the Swimming Pool. This part of the house is only in use if booked under our reference H20, or in July and August as the price is for 12 people). |

Very spacious terrace of about 600m2 with olive trees, plenty of tables and chairs. At the far end of the terrace is the pool area (140m2) which is completely fenced so you can relax without having to worry too much about errant children. The free-form swimming pool is about 23m2 and 1.5m deep. It has a little basin by its side from which water cascades into the pool - ideal for toddlers!
There is ample parking room behind the house past the main drive, which is shared with the owner.
Both properties 'La Terrace' ref H20a and 'Le Mas' ref H20b can be rented together providing 20 sleeping places. Although the owner's house 'separates' the two properties (please see aerial view - the owner's house is the big detached house in the middle) she does not live on site in the summer, and only comes to look after the houses, the pools, the garden and to welcome clients.
The property is set in a 158 ha "Nature Reserve", most of which is Mediterranean Holm oak and pine woodland, which has some lovely walks. There is a tree adventure park, managed by a professional team, where you can enjoy 'walkways' and 'Tarzan swing ropes' among the pine trees about 300m from the house - great fun for grown-ups as well as the youngsters! |
