This charming old stone farm building has been converted to a comfortable holiday home, with plenty of old-world character. The owner has created an unusual swimming pool, leaving an original stone pillar in site, building the pool around it. The house is decorated, furnished and equipped to a good standard.Wi-Fi available

Clients' comments:

Thanks to Lucien and Alissa from South France Villas for another lovely holiday. We had a great mini-break here from England at the end of the summer. Lovely villa and pool. Great setting. Love to come back next year with our family. Nick & Carole, West Sussex August 2009

On behalf of our family, we have had a fabulous time. Fantastic weather, a great host in Lucien and a gite that was beyond our expectations. Ben (10) and Olivia (9) had to be dragged out of the pool every day. We shared the gites with our friends who also had a fab time. The Trace Family, August 2009

A fantastic holiday - swimming, relaxing, bbqs. The children were very happy - and the parents too! Merci Lucien pour des vacances superbes!!! The Wilsons, August 2009

What a great villa. We have had 2 fantastic weeks here. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Lucien is a great host - helpful, friendly and unobtrusive. Even though we speak virtually no French ad Lucien no English, we were able to communicate OK. All Lucien's recommendations were great - the market at St. Chinian on a Sunday was excellent. We enjoyed many fine wines in the evenings and the BBQ got lots of use! Thanks for a nice holiday The Higgins & Mason families, July 2009

The living-dining has a doorway and big sliding glass doors out to a terrace with a stone table and benches, seating 8.
A few wooden steps set in a bank of river stones lead upto a spacious paved pool terrace totalling 90m2; about 40 m2 uncovered terrace and 35m2 of covered terrace, plus a poolside shower room and a wc.

Sunloungers and BBQ. On the far side of the pool there is a further 15m2 of decking.

The "L-shaped" swimming pool itself is unusual 70m2 in all, about two thirds of it is 1.3 to 1.5m deep, while the other much shallower part is built around an original stone pillar. All around the edge of this part is a seat shelf.

The whole property is completely enclosed, and has an electric gate at the entrance. Shaded Car-parking for upto 4 cars.

The Domaine's owner runs a car sales business and on the other side of the Domaine (not visible from the house or from the approach to the house) there is a car 'showroom' also within its enclosed walled space, so as not to affect the rental part in any way.

The owner lives in the house right of the property, however, his own lodging is separated by a 2m high fence so there is no 'vis a vis' into the client's courtyard. He has his own entrance. The pool, the 'barn' and the 'chapel' are for the clients' exclusive use.

Puimisson

The owner can organise, wine tasting, grape and olive picking on the domaine and guided walks in the surrounding countryside. There are also local antiques for sale at the domaine.
