This 19th century stylish holiday home in the Languedoc has been renovated with great panache and to a very high standard, offering all you could need for a family holiday in the South of France.

This French holiday home is almost like renting your own Boutique style hotel! The bedrooms all have hotel quality beds and linen and the air-conditioning is a welcome luxury in the height of summer.

A magnificent designer staircase is the focal point of the family living area.

The local village of Nissan-Lez-Enserune, in the Languedoc Roussillon region, has a selection of Boulangeries, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance.

The Mediterranean beaches are just under 20 minutes' away and the Canal du Midi with its restaurants just a 5 minute drive.

One enters this beautiful Languedoc holiday villa from the front garden and through a wonderful original oak door. This is where the traditional theme ends and the modern twists commence!

The kitchen area is fully equipped and incorporates a high dining table with modern metal stools. Fabulous lighting enhances the stylish decor.

The sitting area is ultra modern with one traditional sofa and a couple of contemporary chaise longues, ideal for an afternoon snooze! Large sliding doors open out onto the dining terrace, garden and pool area.

An independent wc is on the ground floor.

A magnificent designer staircase (*extra care needs to be taken with young children) leads to the first floor hallway off which there are 4 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms.

Languedoc/Occitanie South of France Holiday villa with heated pool and garden

This lovely garden and pool area was until recently the wine vracs where the local Languedoc wine was stored! During the renovation they were knocked down and made way for this outdoor space.

The sliding doors from the lounge lead directly onto the beautifully tiled sunny terrace. The terrace has a dining table and chairs which seat 8 comfortably. There is also an outdoor lounge set, just perfect for an evening aperitif (mandatory in the South of France!).

The terrace leads on to the pool, which is surrounded by a lawn. The heated pool is tiled and measures 7m x 3m x 1.5m. The pool is heated in May, June and September at no extra cost (not applicable for promotional or discounted periods - supplement may apply).

8 sun loungers await you on the pool terrace. The pool has an alarm.

The high walls offer privacy in the garden and pool area. A gas BBQ and Plancha is provided.

At the front of the house there is a gated driveway for off road parking and a small garden.

South of France Luxury Holiday Villa

Perfectly situated for a break in the South of France, situated in a traditional village and yet only 20 minute from the sea and wonderful beaches. Languedoc (Occitanie) has some amazing wine domaines and you can taste before you buy. During the harvest time from late August the smaller winemakers may not be open for tasting. The smaller supermarkets do also tend to stock the local wines.

There are excellent walks along the Canal de Midi and anyone who prefers to cycle the canal path is an ideal route and flat!

A must see the Oppidum d’Enserune, an iron-age fort with a spectacular view of the Etang de Montady (a pie shaped agricultural wetland) - or see it from the other side whilst taking an aperitif at the Restaurant de la Tour in Montady.

Capestang approx 10km - has the quintessential French square surrounded by Cafes and Restaurants and the huge Church - lovely for a coffee and a stroll along the Canal - you can even hire a boat for an hour or for the day.

Beziers approx 12km - a working town with amazing Cathedral and a Friday flower market.

Narbonne approx 15km - a stunning Cathedral and the remains of the original Roman Road - the Via Domitia, the Canal de la Robine running through the centre, lots of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and a Thursday market.

Pezenas approx 40km - Renaissance town with a lively Saturday market

Nissan-lez-Enserune is a typical Languedoc village, the locals embrace the South of France lifestyle, watch for the elders playing Boules or Petanque in the square. Maybe try a Pastis or Ricard at the bar...

There are small shops in the village of Nissan-lez-Enserune along with a pharmacy and a couple of restaurants and cafe/bars. All within walking distance of the holiday villa.

A larger supermarket in Colombiers only 5 minutes away.
