Villa Magalas, Villa Rental near Beziers, Languedoc, Air-Con, Private pool and Walking distance to Village [HE084A]

This South of France holiday villa set on the edge of the pretty village of Magalas sleeps 8. It has splendid views, full air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, private gated pool with summer kitchen, large garden and is walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Villa was lovely, although we have stayed here before so knew what to expect. The location for us is fine, but can be a very short drive to bars or restaurants. You can however easily walk to a baker/butcher/supermarket.For us though, everything about is perfect and the owner seems like a really decent guy.Would definitely stay here again and hope to do so. The villa decor has Moroccan influences which are reflected in the 'hammam-style' master bathroom and on the fabulous wrap around covered terrace which offers comfortable 'sofas' to enjoy the Mediterranean evenings.

Accommodation

4 bedrooms - 3 with double beds and one twin (it may be possible to add an extra bed to one of the doubles and the twin).

Bedroom 2 - 2 single beds - this room is accessed only via bedroom 1 or an exterior door to the side terrace and has no window. This would be suitable as a 'family suite/parents and children' as the occupants of this room must traverse bedroom 1 in order to use the bathroom.
(It may be possible to add an extra bed in this room at a supplementary cost).

Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2 share a shower room and wc.

Bedroom 3 - double bed with adjacent shower room and wc
Doors open out directly on to the terrace with stunning views

Outside Details

Great villa for family holidays in the South of France

The 'piece de resistance' of the villa, which has a strong Moroccan influence with its emphasis on the 'inside-outside' living, is the wrap around terrace (86m2!) and the stunning views. Partially covered and partially in the sun, it has an alfresco dining area and a fabulous outside relaxation area with sofas and coffee tables.

The terrace affords views over the green 'ravine' towards Magalas and the village church tower, and when the moon is up it is simply breathtaking. When you are standing at the front door, because the property is on a residential street, you are totally unaware of the huge landscaped garden that is hiding on the other side.

Private gated swimming pool of 9m x 4m with Roman steps for easy access. The approach to the pool is down a winding path from the villa - this means it is 'up hill' to come back!

There is a small summer kitchen next to the pool with a sink and some crockery, a small fridge and small charcoal BBQ. There is also a dining table with chairs for an alternative lunch or drinks arrangement.

Pool terrace with sunbeds and parasols

Poolside solar shower

Lovely large terraced garden with plenty of shady places to relax or even to dine plus a flat area for children to kick a ball around.

Garden and pool lights

Charcoal BBQ on the terrace

Parking in the drive for 3 cars (please ensure you park your cars on the drive and not on the pavement outside the house as the road is narrow) and close the gate behind you.

Washing line to side of the villa.

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous villa. The villa was spotless, roomy and pretty cool, even without using the air conditioning. The set-up around the pool was very inviting with the right contrast of sun and shade. It’s a bit of a steep walk down to the pool but my elderly in-laws made it without any trouble! The owner is very friendly and welcoming. When the kettle broke, he was at our door the next day with a new one!The location was as described, a 15 minute walk into the village and about 30min drive to the beach and 20min to Beziers.Overall, if you want a villa holiday in this region, this villa should be on your option list. A lovely villa with an excellent pool in a good location.South France Villas Client Mr G, August
This villa was excellent. Patrick and his wife are wonderful people and seem to take real pleasure in knowing that you have enjoyed your time there. Although it is on a residential street, it is quieter than some we have stayed in that are 'in the middle of nowhere '. The location is good, just a couple of minutes walk (next to a road) to a reasonable supermarket and an excellent butchers/bakers. The pool is in a lovely position in the huge garden! The area around the pool have some kind of shade, whatever the time of day. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and coupled with the fact that the price is so reasonable, I would not hesitate to go back. Family G, South France Villas clients July
We thoroughly enjolyed our stay it was ideal for the grandchildren.  The area is lovely and quiet, with the people of Magalas being extremely friendly.  The butcher is highly recommended, with the best pork we've ever had.  The baker was superb and provided an excellent "gateau anniversaire" for a family birthday - just about all you could want in the village or nearby, with the delights of Pezenas a short drive and larger stores in Beziers if needed.  Canoeing on the river was good fun, the beach at Valras highly recommended and extremely safe for small children.  We enjoyed an excellent holiday in one of our favourite areas and we'll be going again when we can.  Chris and Christine
