Maison Sophie is a charming stone-built Provençal style detached house available for holiday lettings in the heart of the Luberon hills. With its own private 9.5m x 4m pool with Roman steps and a nice private garden.
This holiday property has 4 bedrooms in total, two king-size, one double-able twin and one regular twin. One bedroom has an ensuite shower room with separate wc and there are two independent bathrooms, one with wc. Internet access.
The property is ideal for that South of France family holiday well located for exploring all this part of Provence has to offer.

There are seven steps down from the front door into the living room, with two large sofas, a beautiful large stone fireplace and an antique day-bed and the kitchen area, all of which is beautifully tiled in waxed terracotta. French windows lead on to a lovely terrace, perfect to sit in the shade during the heat of the day and from there on to the garden and pool.
From one of the two terraces at this property, there is a lovely view of the village and the Luberon.
There is a large bedroom with two single beds (90cm) pushed together to make a king-size bed (180cm) with free-standing fan and an ensuite wetroom with 2 basins.
There is a laundry room off this bathroom.
Upstairs (10 steps), there are three bedrooms:
Bedroom 2 - 160cm bed
Bedoom 3 - twin beds - 2 x 90cm (mosquito nets and a skylight)
Bedroom 4 - double bed (140cm)
There are two separate bathrooms one with shower, basin and wc; the other with bath, hand-held shower overhead and basin (no wc).

The private swimming pool (9.5m x 4m x 0.80-1.5m) in this holiday villa has Roman steps for easy entry. There is an infra-red pool alarm system that rings inside the house.
There are two terraces, one is partly shaded and there is a lawned area around the pool.
The garden is private and has a BBQ and there are private parking spaces for two vehicles, one under a covered area attached to the house - see photo.
Garden furniture includes a dining table, 8 chairs, 8 loungers and a parasol.
The village, 8km from famous Gordes, is one of the prettiest, but probably one of the least known in Provence; set on a hill with winding streets, a windmill, a château, a lovely square at the heart of the village with all necessary amenities.
Just a few minutes' walk from the house you will find several good family restaurants; 'La Bartavelle' (rue du Cheval Blanc), 'Le Carillon', 'Cafe de la Poste' (great for salads and grilled meat - lunch time service), an award winning epicerie, two bakeries, a pharmacy.
Apprx. 15 mins walk or 3 mins car, there is the Café restaurant de Notre Dame de Lumière (every day service, not too expensive). Not far from Goult in a village called Gordes you will find many good restaurants such as 'Bonnieux', 'Lacoste', Ménerbes.
The lovely Roman church, St. Sebastien, is situated in the main village square and regularly holds classical music concerts. Writers and craftsmen meet for four days over the holiday weekend of 15th August to put on and enjoy numerous shows and exhibitions. Purchase the delicacies and flavour of southern France at one of the many local markets in the region.
Local markets can be found in Apt on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, on Thursday morning at La Tour d'Aigues, in Pertuis on Wednesday and Friday mornings, at Cadenet on a Saturday morning and in Coustellet on a Sunday morning.
Roussillon, 10 minutes or 8km away, is situated on a hill surrounded by ocher cliffs and you can follow the trail through the Colorado Provençal towards the village of Rustrel.
Both villages have excellent restaurants. 8km from the stunning hilltop village of Gordes and the Abbey de Senanque and Le Musee de la Lavande.
15km W of Apt, famous for crystallised fruit, has a large market on Saturday mornings.
Ancient Avignon with the famous Palais des Papes is 40 minutes/40km drive away.
20km E of Isle-sur Sorgue - A beautiful town of mills and waterways, famous for its antique shops (some 350 of them!!). Golf course.
apprx 18km SE of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse - Source of the river Sorgue, that rises at the foot of spectacular, limestone cliffs. The home of Petrach.
apprx 50 km NE of Les-Baux-de-Provence, fortified village perched on dramatic scarps, reknowned for its restaurants.
40km apprx E of Avignon. (Palais des Papes).
80km apprx NW of Aix-en-Provence.
95km apprx N of Marseille.
