Top Ten Restaurants in Central Pezenas, Languedoc

L'Amphitryon

Haute Cuisine - Fresh and innovative food artistically presented and excellent value for money with the fixed price menu being only 30 Euro. The extensive wine list is sensibly priced. A courtyard offers an outside dining experience, a must for a South of France holiday.

La Fille d’Easington Pizzeria

If you fancy a Pizza then this really is the place to go. The owner originally from the north East of England has not lost her accent even after 20 + years living in the South of France! All the Pizzas are made with fresh ingredients, you can change the sauce and any Pizza can be made into a Calzone. Vey quirky and friendly and take away service available, should you wish to eat in your rented villa.

Le Vieux Coq

Situated in the heart of the old town with an outdoor area in the quaint square. Pezenas’ organic market is on this square every Saturday morning. A great choice of traditional South of France local produce, including Sea Bass, oysters and wonderful salads. No set menu however friendly, helpful staff.

Part of the well-known Southern France wine Domaine Paul Mas, described by the owner as “Luxe Rural”, a modern restaurant with a bistro type atmosphere. Carefully selected local products, appreciate the views over the South of France countryside from the terrace.  As it is part of the wine domaine there is only a small mark up on the wine list. A small restaurant in a typical South of France winemaking village. Run by a young couple offering innovative local food served at the South of France pace so don’t expect a quick meal! Reservations are essential.

Family owned and run by 3 generations. Traditional French food with a twist served in a typical South of France Auberge.  A wide choice of menus, they even have a teenager’s and children’s menu.  A relaxed comfortable atmosphere. Auberge de la Tour

Another husband and wife team, tucked away in this South of France wine village. The interior is beautifully decorated and the exterior courtyard offers outdoor dining.  The menu is limited which one expects when local, seasonal produce is on offer.  Great value for money and a warm welcome is given to all.

A great place to stop on your way back from one of the South of France beaches. If you like Meat and Fish cooked on a wood fire, then this is the place for you. A good choice of food to suit all budgets within the set menus, along with an a la carte menu. The owner speaks English. Hacienda

Le Bistrot d’Alex

Florensac

Another wine and food pairing.  Modern restaurant with a great atmosphere and South of France style. The daily menu is chalked onto the black-board, and the set menu is 22 euro however some dishes carry a supplement. The only wine served is that of the local vigneronnes, as there is only a very small mark-up it is excellent value for money. Le Bistrot d'Alex

Family restaurant offering amazing value for money, 3 course lunch with wine and coffee only 14 euros (Mon-Friday). The chef takes pride in the presentation as well as the quality. Outside dining is possible and there is also a children’s play area.
