A stylish Cote d'Azur apartment in a 19th Century Grand Villa with sea views, just 10 minutes from Ste Maxime and close to St Tropez.  To sleep 4 in 2 ensuite bedrooms with use of the villa's pool and gardens - ideal for Honeymooners!  

Beautiful apartment, really tastefully decorated and we had everything we needed. The location was just perfect, not too close to town but within easy walking distance which we like. This 19th Century Grand Villa, on the Cote d'Azur - a quintessentially looking French mansion - was once owned and lived in by a famous poet of the region, Paul Geraldy.  The villa has been lovingly restored and converted in to 5 beautiful apartments.

This one, Apartment Baie Bleu, is on the second floor with living room, kitchen/dining area, two bedrooms both with an ensuite bath/shower room, a long balcony overlooking the Bay of St Tropez and use of the extensive gardens and pool.

Just 20 minutes' easy walk or 5 to 10 minutes drive to the centre of Ste Maxime it is close enough to enjoy the hustle and bustle yet far enough away for peace and tranquillity and well placed to explore the famous resorts of the French Riviera.

From the pool area there is a garden path that leads to a door to cross the road to the beach in front of the building.

Renovated with style and maintaining the magnificence of the old mansion, it is chic and contemporary, the furnishings combine traditional and modern with ease. It is well appointed and comfortable and the Owners have provided most home from home comforts and help is at hand if required.

The open plan sitting room with high ceiling, beams and two sets of floor to ceiling French doors gives it a voluminous feel.  The sofa, armchairs, soft window drapes, attractive lamps and French style furniture complement the taupe and beige colourings and offer a sense of calm. This living space leads in to a kitchen area with bar style counter and bar stools, together with a dining table to seat 4 and access out to the balcony.

Master Bedroom - Queen size bed plus ensuite bathroom with bath, shower, wash hand basin, bidet and wc.  French doors leading out to the balcony with sea views.  Air conditioining.

Bedroom 2 - Twin beds plus ensuite shower room with shower, wash hand basin, bidet and wc.  Air conditioning.

(A cot is available if required).

La piece de resistance is the fantastic balcony running the length of the apartment affording a spectacular uninterrupted view of the Bay of St Tropez and the glimmering Mediterranean. Accessible by three sets of French doors - two in the living area and one in the kitchen plus a further access direct from the Master Bedroom.  It is the perfect place to start your day over coffee and croissants or enjoy an aperitif at the pretty wrought iron table and chairs.

We have not yet visited this property, however our clients have been very happy.

The Residents of the building each own a part of a small sandy beach that is accessible from the gardens - it is a public beach, but not very busy from which you can swim. From the pool area there is a garden path that leads to a door to cross the road to the beach in front of the building.

There  is a wider beach off the centre of town with parking nearby that is great for small children.

Ste Maxime is just 10 minutes by car or a pleasant 20 minute walk where there is much going on and a Tourist Office to tell you all about it.  Plus there is a new cultural centre with a 4 screen cinema with films often in Original Version and a library.

In addition, the Casino, adventure park and aqua park provide other entertainment.

Frequent ferries leave Ste Maxime for St Tropez which takes all the hassle out of the journey.

Beaches:-

The choice close to Ste Maxime is incredible - apparently there are 87! - they are sandy and classed as some of the best in the region.

The Residents of the building each own a part of a small sandy beach that is accessible from the gardens - it is a public beach, but not very busy.

There  is a wider beach off the centre of town with parking nearby that is great for small children.

To the west of the town are the most popular - La Nartelle, La Garonette and La Plage des Eléphants - the latter appears in the the book Voyage de Babar one of the famous children's series of books written by local author Jean de Brunhoff, hence the name.

La Nartelle is probably the most exclusive where there are a number of well-known beach clubs and restaurants such as Mario Plage, La Renne Jaune and Barco Beach.

The town beach of Ste-Maxime Beach, next to the Casino, is ideal for families as it is flat, sandy and surveyed so offering safe swimming.

Diving centres, sailing schools, windsurfing, jet- ski-ing and snorkeling opportunities abound for the water sport aficiandos.

Horseriding - 5 minutes from Ste Maxime beach and another 6km from the town

Comments received by the Owner:- We chose this apartment based on the lovely photographs. However in reality, it exceeded expectations, with its stunning views of the sea and stylish interior. It is in a charming old building with well kept gardens and pool. My husband and I with our two daughters enjoyed the idyllic setting close to great beaches, food markets and jet sking! August is a difficult month to move around, so getting the ferry to St. Tropez is ideal. Hope to return next time in September, but I could not recommend this property highly enough. Sitting on the balcony and eating croissants in the morning watching the sun sparkle over the Mediterranean seemed like a scene out of a movie! We just kept smiling and asking, how did we get so lucky to find such a beautiful place? The apartment had everything we needed for our week and was conveniently located to the most beautiful beaches, lovely cafes and shopping in Ste Maxime. Day trips to Grimaud and St. Tropez were easy too. The week was so perfect, it still doesn't seem real. We will certainly be back! Waking up to blue skies over the bay, a view of the boats and coffee with a croissant was truly heavenly. The flat was clean and well equipped. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was a welcome alternative to the beach. The town of Ste. Maxime is charming with great restaurants and markets.
