Accommodation Details

Riverside Gite (150m2) - sleeps 7 to 9

The property has a homely ambience, charming interiors comfortably furnished, all with mod cons, and evokes French country living.  All pleasing to the eye - a nice combination of modern day comforts and original features. Sleeping 7-9 (the extra 2 would be accommodated on a sofa bed on the mezzanine level).

Entering from the Terrace, you come to the sitting area of the kitchen/dining space, where there is a stone fireplace, rocking chair and two seater sofa. Whilst you eat, at the lovely farmhouse table that can take 8 or more, you can enjoy the floor to ceiling view of the River.

With original buff coloured stone floors and a glass work top on the island in the kitchen you get an insight into the workings of the original mill down below which can be illuminated at night. However, the kitchen has been brought into the 21st century with a Smeg double oven, dishwasher, washing machine and a lovely double Belfast sink.

From here you have access to the shared Games Room via gated steps.

Gated stairs at the other end of the sitting area, lead to the large living area with 2 x 3 seater sofas, English Free View TV and a DVD. Access to the first floor balcony, with view to the pool and easy chairs, is through glass double doors from the living room.

Total number of bedrooms - 4 + 1 mezzanine

Bedroom 1 - Master - very large with king bed with en suite bathroom and WC - accessed by steps up from the living room through double glass doors (curtained).  The magnificent floor to ceiling picture window overlooking the river and the amazing partial glass floor (above the dining table) are fantastic.

A delightful town, in the heart there is a series of small interlinking squares and well worn meandering cobbled streets, lined with an array of shops from butchers to boutiques.

On Saturdays there is the most fabulous colourful market where shopkeepers and stall holders wait to sell you wonderful artisan products and food - from fruit and vegetables, to olives, to bread, fresh pasta and cheeses galore.

Park this side of the bridge and walk in (it is much the easiest way) - past the small square on to the bridge stop and take in the view of the river and the lovely clock tower - in a few minutes, as you meander the plane tree lined riverside you will be in the centre.
By the by, Laurence Durrell had a house here!
