This lovely stone building has been renovated by the owner to provide comfortable self-catering accommodation, 1.5km from the traditional Languedoc village of Puimisson, near to Beziers and just 25 minutes from the beaches. This holiday home is perfect for a family break in the South of France.
The house has an authentic French style with a Provencal influence. The accommodation is on different levels with quirky mezzanine floors, great for older children to explore, the 5 bedrooms are spread around the property so great if you wish to be away from the snorers in the family! This house is perfect for families with adolescent children who want to have a 'dorm' in one of the mezannines.
An industrial strength air-conditioning unit (programmed by the owner) cools the house in the evening and morning.
The heated above ground pool (6m x 5.5m) is gated and secure.
There is a sister property Gite Lucienne HE039A also on the domaine.
Extra accomodation can be provided for 2 people in the recently renovated tower, "la Follie" which will also have a hot -tun on the roof terrace! contact us for prices (La Follie can only be rented with this villa)
We have worked with this owner for over 14 years and know the domaine and owner very well so please do ask any questions.
Traditional South of France Holiday Villa to sleep 10
This French holiday home has been traditionally renovated with love and care. The accommodation is on various levels with quirky mezzanine floors, accessed by open wooden staircases (Sturdy, but not suitable for the very young or old, hand rails planned).
External stairs lead up to the entrance of the holiday property.
The huge open plan living area has a real country feel, many original features have been restored, Provencal furniture along with antiques highlight decor and a large modern sofa is the focal point.
The kitchen area has a large traditional dining table, a gas "piano" style cooker, dishwasher and fridge freezer.
The living area and kitchen open out on to a long balcony which runs the length of the house, offering spectacular views over the vineyards and South of France villages beyond. The perfect place for a French breakfast of coffee and a croissant.
Also on this level are 3 bedrooms.
1 bedroom has 2 x single beds (80cm x 200cm)
2 bedrooms are doubles 1 x 140cm x 190cm and 1 x 160cm x 200cm
The 2 bathrooms can also be found on this level:-
1 bathroom with corner Jacuzzi bath and an antique stone sink
1 shower room with a walk-in shower
2 independent wc's.
At the other end of the first floor, there is a "snug" with a table and chairs for 4. A great place to escape to and read your book or just take 5 minutes.
There is also a second kitchen which is not in full use, but there is a small fridge and a kettle to make a cup of tea for guests staying in 'the left wing'.
An open wooden staircase (hand rails to be fitted) leads from the snug to a mezzanine floor.
This Mezzanine is huge and covers the whole width of the house, there is a large double bed (160cm x 200cm)and 2 single beds of 90cm x 200cm.
A second Mezzanine can be accessed from the lounge area again by an open wooden staircase (hand rails to be fitted). Here there is a double bed (140cm x 190cm) and 2 single beds of 90cm x 200cm. Curtains will be added for privacy.
Part of the house is equipped with an industrial air-conditioning unit, which is programmed by the owner to cool the house in the evening and morning.
Washing machine (in the Games area)
Partially Air-Conditioned (No extra charge)
Heated pool (No extra charge)
Bicycles (available for rent by the owner)
Car Parking - shaded parking for cars
This Languedoc Roussillon holiday Mas has its own private entrance with electric gates.
There are terraces on different levels and a courtyard, and you can relax on one of the sun-loungers, snooze in the shade on a day bed or take a dip in the pool.
Dine alfresco as there is a gas BBQ and an outside dining area.
The heated pool (no extra charge) is very secure for young children as it is raised above the ground and surrounded by a fence. It measures 6m x 5.5m, one could say it is almost like a large Jacuzzi without the jets!
Just outside the domaine you will find acres of vineyards, visit in September to see the harvest taking place.
Gite Lucienne HE039A is situated on the same domaine, however it has its own entrance and is separated by a large 2m fence.
The Domaine's owner runs an agricultural plant hire business on the other side of the Domaine (not visible from the house) there is a 'showroom' also within its enclosed walled space, so as not to affect the rental part in any way.
The Owner lives in a mobile home behind the domaine and is separate from the domaine.
We have worked with the owner for over 14 years and he is very discreet, he can however help you with wine tasting, recommend restaurants and places to visit.
The Domaine is situated about 1.5km from Puimisson, a typical South of France wine-producing village with several excellent wineries, a baker, tobacconist, café-bar and post office.
The owner can organise, wine tasting, grape and olive picking on the domaine and guided walks in the surrounding countryside. There are also local antiques for sale at the domaine.
