A traditional Provence holiday villa in a superb hillside setting about a km to the village of Rochefort-du-Gard, where you can walk to a baker, a small shop and a cafe, plus there is a Sunday morning market. (quite a steep walk back to the property)
With 3 bedrooms sleeping 6, 2 bathrooms, a large living space, an 8m x 4m private pool, lovely terraces, good size garden with amazing views this villa makes for a great family holiday location.
On the border of the South of France regions of Languedoc-Occitanie and Provence this area has a mixture of both regional cultures to enjoy.
Within easy reach are the historical cities of Avignon, Arles and Orange, making this villa great spot from which to explore all this part of the South of France has to offer.

The villa is set over 2 levels.
Traditional in style, the simply furnished interior, with beamed ceiling, offers a large space incorporating an open plan living room, dining area and modern kitchen. Sets of French doors give out on to the terrace and garden from where the views are breathtaking.

South of France villa with stunning views
The mature 1300m2 garden has fantastic long reaching views from both the villa and pool. An array of colourful Mediterranean trees and shrubs surround the house.
A terrace in front of the house offers a casual seating area with sunshine and shade. There is also a dining table to enjoy alfresco meals whilst taking in the view.
From the villa terrace there are 10 steps down to the pool area. The terrace surrounding the pool has sun chairs for taking in the rays and an abri if you need some shade out of the South of France sunshine.
The 8m x 4m x 1.70m private pool is fenced, but not gated, has an alarm and Roman steps for easy access.

Parking at the villa on the drive, access is by a private unadopted road.

In the village of Rochford-du-Gard, which has approx 500 inhabitants, there are several points of interest worth noting:-
Le Castelas - towering above the village is the completely renovated Romanesque Chapel from the 10th century.
The Sanctuary of Notre Dame built in 798 under Charlemagne's rule.
The renovated neo-Gothic church of Saint Bardulphe.
The Town Hall was a former chapel.
The wash-house with is Doric colmums was finished in 1807 and totally renovated in 1999.

The Garrigue countryside just 100m from the house is perfect for the the walkers amongst you and for the more energetic approx 1000m away is the local state park.

The famous Pont du Gard is approx 15km with the river running through it - do try and get to one of the Son et Lumiere shows - amazing!
The nearest Mediterranean Beach resort is Sainte Maries de la Mer, in the Camargue, approx 90km.
