South of France Chateau for family holidays - walk to village with restaurant
If you are seeking an exceptional south of France holiday to a French château, then Chateau Uzes is just perfect.
Set within a Provençale hill-top village very near to the fabulous market town of Uzes, with views over Provence, south of France.
Chateau Uzes has been renovated and designed for refined holidays, family gatherings, and bespoke celebrations, it offers privacy, beauty, luxury, authenticity, along with an eclectic mix of antiques, and cutting-edge modern technology.
The main chateau has 5 suites and 1 bedroom that can comfortably sleep 12 adults and 4 children, the Pigeonnier can sleep another 2 adults and 2 children, so a total of 20 people.
The chateau has a heated swimming pool (supplement), an indoor private cinema (Apple TV), wellness facilities including a steam room and a fully equipped gym, while entertainment options extend to table football & table tennis. For quiet time you may relax in the historic on-site chapel, which also offers a unique setting for events and ceremonies.
Parts of the chateau date back to the 12th century, with the pigeonnier being added in the 14th century followed by more buildings in the 17th century. The chateau has a wealth of history, once owned by the King of France and bequeathed to the bishop of Uzes.
Weddings and events are limited to the 20 people staying at the property and there is an extra charge of 1000 Euro.
As this chateau dates back to the 12th century in parts, certain building works are not allowed, therefore there are some areas with low walls and there are steps and stairs which may in places be uneven. Care must be taken at all times, children could easily get lost as the chateau is so large.
Enjoy exclusive use of the entire south of France château.
