Large South of France holiday accommodation with 17m pool

Situated in a quiet Occitanie hamlet, this large property has been renovated with great love and thought. Family living being at the forefront of the owner's mind at all times. The main house, an old farmhouse has a quirky nature with a great mix of old and new, lovely traditional furniture and modern bedrooms with air-conditioning.
The Pool House (can be rented on its own outside of Peak Season) which is 50 metres from the main house is independent and has 2 air-conditioned bedrooms with en suites, fully fitted kitchen and living room. The huge 17m pool is situated here and the gate locks so ideal if you have young children (the owner would prefer for young children to sleep in the main house).
A 10 minute walk down a county lane takes you to a "centre commercial" with a bakers, organic fruit and veg shop, restaurant and supermarket.
The South of France beaches are 30 minutes away, or even closer is the huge lake "Lac du Salagou" where you can swim and sail.
The Main House in this South of France Holiday Home
A large farmhouse that has been renovated into a family home, the layout out is quite quirky and the furniture eclectic in style.
The entrance leads directly into the very large family room, which houses the kitchen, dining areas, comfortable sofas and chairs along with a smart tv.
The kitchen is fully equipped - a bespoke central unit incorporates the large range hob, great for show cooking!
A Utility room is just off the kitchen with large fridge and freezer. Doors lead out onto the garden and one of the many outdoor dining areas.
The even larger formal lounge and dining room has floor to ceiling windows, so the room is lovely and light, there are more sofas, a pool table (the one on the photo will be replaced), table football and a large dining table to seat 12.

Bedroom 1 - Extra large wooden bed, air-conditioning, dressing area, en suite with bath, walk-in shower, double wash basins and wc. French doors onto to the courtyard and garden.
Bedroom 2 - A double bed and a single bed, air-conditioned, en suite with a shower, wash basin and a separate wc. Door out onto the garden and courtyard.
First Floor Bedrooms
Bedroom 3 - A double bed, air-conditioned, en suite with a shower, wash basin and wc
Bedroom 4 - 2 Single beds that can be zipped together to make a large double, air-conditioned, en suite with bath and overhead shower, wash basin and wc.
A snug area on the first floor with a TV, a good place for teenagers to hang out. This overlooks the large living area.
The Pool House
Entrance to the stone built villa is directly from the garden and pool area, straight into the large open plan living area, its high ceiling and bi-folding glass doors give off a feeling that you are in a type of Orangerie.
The galley kitchen has everything you need, large fridge-freezer, cooker, dishwasher and the freestanding bar offers extra work top space.
A large dining table to seat 6 defines the various areas in the large open plan living space. There a couple of large comfortable sofas and TV (UK Channels).
The floor to ceiling French windows open out fully out onto the beautiful stone tiled terrace, bringing the outside inside! The outdoor area also has a seating and various dining areas along with a BBQ.

Bedroom 5 - Wonderful super-king sleigh bed (2m x 2m), air-conditioning, exposed beams and french doors leading out onto the garden and pool.
The en suite bathroom, houses a bath, separate walk-in shower, his and hers wash basins and a wc.

This South of France holiday villa's garden and pool details
The wonderful large 17m x 7m pool is the focal point of the outside area of this large holiday property. The private pool has a wonderful seat feature all the way around and access is very easy to access with a wide gentle slope followed by 2 steps, the deepest part is 2.5m. A grass area surrounds the pool some of which is astroturf.
There are plenty of sun-loungers, lounge style furniture and dining options in the garden, should you wish to chase the South of France sunshine!
A changing room with a shower and wc is by the pool.
Vineyards surround the garden on one side and trees on the other, including many fruit trees.
Ping-Pong table and Petanque/Boules area.
A dining table to seat 12+ is under a pergola outside the family kitchen in the main house.
The garden at the side of the main house also has a dining area and a BBQ with a gas plancha. Stairs lead up to the roof terrace which has beautiful views over the French countryside. There is even a wc (private) on the terrace level.
The discreet owners live within the grounds, however they do not have use of the pool or your garden (great to ask for local knowledge). The owners do not wish for any children under the age of 7 to sleep in the Pool house due to the proximity of the pool to the house, however they are welcome to sleep in the main house.
There are chickens around the property and you are welcome to the fresh eggs! (May change for 2020).

Clermont l'Herault approx 2km - lovely market on Wednesday mornings and numerous cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from.
Pezenas: approx 20km. Good restaurants and bars, historic town centre. Each summer the Mirondela de l'Arte, an arts festival, takes place. This involves a lot of music and street entertainment. Friday night Estivale with wine tasting and street food, fabulous market on a Saturday.
Beziers Golf St Thomas: approx 45km
Marseillan and the coast - approx 40km
Kayaking on the Herault river Kayaking and water-ski-ing on the Lac de Salagou
Agde approx 40km. Old historic town and fishing port on the Mediterranean founded by the Ancient Greeks. Nice market, excellent seafood restaurants.
Cap d'Agde approx 45km. 'Aqualand' (huge water-slides, etc). 27-hole golf course.
Beziers approx 50km Large market town, renowned for its colourful 'Feria' in August (street music, carnival, bull-fights).
Lac du Salagou approx 19km. Lake surrounded by spectacular red volcanic hills. Watersports. Nearby is Cirque de Moureze, an extraordinary 'chaos' of dolomitic towers and ravines.
St Guilhem-le-Desert approx 25km. Beautiful medieval village and abbey in dramatic gorge landscape.
Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc apprx 40km North West of Pezenas are the mountains and rocky gorges of the Caroux mountains. Great canoeing on the river Orb.
Montpellier approx 45km. Attractive university City, Art Museums, amazing architecture and also good shopping. Airport.
Narbonne approx 75km. Once the capital of Roman Gaul. Famous cathedral.
Carcassonne approx 125km. Largest fortified medieval town.

What can we say! We have had a fantastic fortnight in your beautiful 'Pool House'. We have wanted for nothing in the house - so well equipped and the pool has been a godsend during the hot weather.
