Located within the Parc Naturel Regional des Alpilles this Luxury Provencal Mas offers an oasis of tranquility. A unique opportunity to experience countryside French Living - a flavour of our grandparents era, but with all mod cons. This would be an ideal Provencal vacation rental for 2 to 3 families or a large group - breakfast is included in the rental prepared from fresh farm produce by the owner, who is professional chef!
When he purchased the Domaine the Owner, being originally from a winemaking background, wanted to rediscover the perfumes, colours and rhythms of childhood holidays with his family on the farm.
This charming stone built house has been lovingly transformed - it now offers 7 en suite bedrooms all with air con and Wi-Fi. In the 10 hectares of grounds is a fabulous heated and fenced salt water pool and extensive gardens with pathways for you to meander or sit and be at leisure.
Breakfast too is included in the price and is a veritable feast of home made goodies grown in the garden (Vegetarian, Gluten or Lactose free can be accommodated with advance notice).
Not far from the beautiful villages of St Remy de Provence and Baux de Provence, with panoramic views of Les Alpilles range of hills, this certainly is the place to unwind and recharge. The perfect base to explore all this part of the South of France has to show you - don't miss the glorious fields of Lavender!
South of France Vacation Domaine in Provence sleeping up to 14
The entrance is gated and a long driveway leads down to the house through the Domaine grounds.
Throughout the house the decor is elegant and simple, with natural local ochre tints on the walls, glazed terracotta tiles on the floors and pieces of well waxed furniture that have been handed down from previous generations. However, there are a few concessions to the modern world - Wi-Fi and air conditioning in the bedrooms!
The sitting room is furnished with Provencal style pieces. There is a wood burner too.
There is an indoor dining area which is another refurbshed separate building, apprx 10-12 mts from the main accommodation and houses the Professional Kitchen space as well. It has been refurbished in an original style with lovely beams and accessorised with all manner of objects that blend in and will pique your interest. It is glass fronted and gives out on to the terrace and garden.
Seating on the terrace outside the dining room offers an alfresco breakfast area under gazebos.
Breakfast is included in the rental. It is a most convivial experience offering a plethora of home made products using ingredients from the Domaine garden - Vegetarian, Gluten or Lactose free can be accommodated with advance notice.

The property is set in a L shape and the Owners live in one side, with a separate entrance. They will be on hand to organise Breakfast service during your stay. Catered lunch or dinner is also possible with advance notice using home produced meats and olive oil. Cooking Classes too can be arranged.

The Owner is a Chef and the Kitchen is set out in a Professional style - he will use it to prepare your Buffet Breakfast daily.
The fully equipped Kichen will be available for clients to use to prepare any other meals during their stay.

Lovely grounds at this South of France Holiday Property in St Remy de Provence
The St Remy de Provence Domaine is set in enormous grounds of 10 hectares and the Owner has restored the Botanical gardens to their former glory.
With a large olive grove, 3 rose gardens (over 4000 rose bushes), an orchard and vegetable gardens, it offers a tranquil Zen style environment. The Owner has stamped his individuality in the garden by displaying his personal sculptures. There are also even real live horses and cows on the Domaine!
The 12m x 6m salt water heated pool (May to September and included) is close to the house set in its own fenced area with Roman steps for easy access - graduated from shallow to deep. It is surrounded by a lawned area on which there are 7 gazebos each with 2 sun loungers - giving you your own personal space by the pool.
In the pool area there is a self service bar - items consumed are charged extra.
There is a terrace by the house and other seating areas are dotted around the garden where you can find sun and shade.
South of France ideal Domaine for Large Groups in the heart of Provence
The Domaine is situated in a protected nature zone, yet close to many Provencal villages:
St Remy de Provence - apprx 3.5km - lots of lovey cafes, bars, restaurant, boutiques, souvenir shops to keep you busy. Van Gogh lived here and was inspired by the light, sunflowers and famous cypress trees. Don't forget to see the Glanum Oppidum
Les Baux de Provence - apprx 7km - beautifully renovated Middle Ages village - accessible by foot only - a must see stone fortress, Renaissance facades, several Hotel Particuliers which are now Museums and Galleries. Plenty of craft shops and restaurants to choose from. Do not miss the Citadelle de Baux at the village summit.
Les Alpilles - little mountains covered in scrubland, oak and pine forests and fantastic views - great walking pathways.
Eyaglieres - apprx 7km - hill top village with Roman Chapel
St Etienne du Grès - apprx 13km - colourful fruit and veg market on a Sunday
Maussane les Alpilles - appx 10km - don't forget to taste the famous Olive Oil
Fontvielle - apprx 12km - Moulin de Daudet - the scenery of stone inspired the writer Alphonse Daudet
