We had a fabulous stay at Villa Chenet, very spacious inside although we spent most of the time either in the pool or beside it! Plenty of shade or sunshine if you prefer. The owner left suncream, insect repellent and lots of ice packs/wine coolers in the freezer. One evening we walked to the little restaurant on the nearby campsite and had an excellent meal which was also great value.Family D, July 2024
We loved our stay at Villa Chenet! The owners were very welcoming and helpful, the villa was clean and tidy and the heated pool was fantastic. ATTRIBUTES: Value for money: 5/5 Quality: 5/5 Welcome: 5/5 Corresponds to description: 5/5 Location: 4/5 Booking was very easy and SFV liaised with the owners to make the confirmation process very easy.Family S, South France Villas Client May 2024
Thank you for a lovely family break at Villa Chenet. Weather has been glorious, kids have loved the pool! The villa is very well equipped, which made life easier and we all relaxed. Had a wonderful time - thanks! From the Visitors Book - May 2023
A lovely week thank you. Beautiful villa with an amazing pool!South France Villas client Mrs. G - August 2023
Villa Chenet was the perfect retreat for us for two weeks of peace and calm in a beautiful hillside location yet only 15-20 minutes from beaches and constant sunshine. Sufficiently out of the way from the hustle and bustle of a beach location but not isolated and close (15 minutes by car) to all facilities with local restaurants within 5 minutes. The villa is lovely, spacious and very well fitted out; home from home but with all the extra advantages. The pool (even heated!) is in the sun most of the day. You could spend the whole holiday (subject to provisions) at the Villa without venturing out - but we liked exploring the area and other parts of the region. A trip to Monaco was only about an hour away. The owners are very helpful and they were always available if we needed them (which we did to find out efficiency of local postal facilities); and Audrey, the house manager, is a delight and goes out of her way to provide any information you may require. One of the best holidays we have had! Thank you, and of course South France Villas. August 2020
Lovely family holiday villa. Very well equipped.South France Villas client Mr N June
We had a great week over Easter. A really lovely, well equipped villa that was perfect for our family of five. We got really lucky with the weather and spent most mornings visiting a local beach and then the afternoon by the pool/in the hot tub. There's so much to see and do in the area and it was very nice to visit at the start of the season whilst it was still quiet. The owners could not have been more accommodating. They even did a full shop for us before we arrived. Which was blissful as French supermarkets can be a bit overwhelming on the first day of your holiday. Lovely local village with everything you need. Furnishing is simple but comfortable and very good value for this part of France. Kate, South France Villas Client April
Villa Chenet was exactly what we (my husband and our two sons aged 14 and 11) were looking for, as it conveys the feel of a comfortably appointed home with many personal touches and captures the very essence of a holiday in Southern France. Our family has thoroughly enjoyed the time spent here and we are very much hoping to return in the not too distant future. As my husband and I had to keep up with work, the very efficient WiFi really helped in getting everything done quickly, so as to enjoy the rest of the day in the beautiful surrounding area, if it was spending time at the nearby beach (la Napoule), the fabulous restaurants all around or the golf course. It was the best time enjoying this stunning house in the afternoon by the sparkling blue pool with olives and a glass of crisp white wine, taking in the view and enjoying a swim with the kids, who practically lived in the pool. Night time, after dinner swimming, was also our favourite past time. The garden and pool was beautifully lit up to set a calming mood. Thank you to the Property Manager, for being patient on the first day with the key handover, it was an absolute pleasure dealing with your kind and patient nature and for keeping this beautiful villa, we wished was ours, so spotless and well maintained. The garden with all the flowers…a dream. Thank you to the Owners for your efficient, kind and informative e-mail correspondence, your welcome phone call, when we arrived and the amazing files you put together with soo much information about everything, the house, the area, restaurants, places to visit, shopping and so much more. It was of really great help to us. We wish that we could meet one day, maybe even the next time that we are going to be back. What a truly special holiday, thank you so much! Susanne and Family, June 2018
Best Villa we stayed in yet. Had absolutely everything was like home away from home. Very comfortable and great obliging owners. Would recommend highly. Great for families.Mr M, July 2017
This villa holiday in Villa Chenet was a joy beginning to end - the organisation was professional and friendly with no problems at all and when we arrived at the villa it was even more stunning than the photographs - especially the beautiful outside areas. The villa was the best equipped villa we have stayed in (they even provided pool towels and mosquito repellent!) and the pool especially was a high point as were the views and the nearby village to buy fresh bread and groceries. When we had the odd query the owner or the housekeeper were quick to respond and very kind. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wonderful villa in its beautiful surroundings - thank you so much. Hello to all the lovely & helpful people at South France Villas: I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at the gorgeous Villa Chenet at the end of August.Thank you again so much for making it possible. We loved the house, it was beautiful, welcoming, extremely well-equipped and very clean - we relaxed as soon as we stepped in the door. What a brilliant location, somehow in the middle of nowhere but still only minutes away - down a very exciting road! - from everything! So many amazing places to see nearby, we had lots of fun exploring the hills, Fayence, the beaches, Frejus and of course Grasse. We slept well on cosy beds, tried to read some of the excellent selection of books provided (I kept looking at the view, so must admit didn't get much reading done). The kids really appreciated the WiFi :-) The pool was absolutely brilliant, and since it was startlingly hot we made good use of it. The entire house and garden were so comfortable, cosy and pretty, it made our holiday a very special one. The owners were absolute gems, making sure we knew everything about our stay, and also the lovely Audrey who goes above and beyond for her clients! Between you, you have thought of everything any guest could ever need. Thanks to everybody for making our 7 days in the South of France one of our best holidays ever.... Kind regards, The I... Family,August, South France Villas Client, 2015
I just wanted to send you a quick e-mail to let you know what a wonderful time we had on our holiday. Your Villa is absolutely beautiful! What we found especially great was the homely feel you have given to it. What a comfortable way to spend a week in the South of France. All the facilities are superb, the pool lovely, hot tub was good fun, very nice outside seating and dinning, and inside comfortable and relaxing, so thank you. The views and surrounding area is outstanding. The only thing we struggled with was the heat! Wow it is a hot one down there currently! Unfortunately it was a little too hot for our young boys. They would come to life at 9/10pm! But a swim at that time was very refreshing. I would like to say a special thank you to Audrey. What a lovely and welcoming lady. She worked really hard to get the villa ready as we were a little early, which she didn't have to do! We were quite happy to wait! (Having run B&B's in the UK we know what it's like when people arrive early). But she was great. Also we left a day early (only because of the heat) which she was happy to accommodate. If you could pass in a big thank you to her that would be great. We have recommended your villa to friends and family! Thanks again for making our holiday a comfortable one! Regards.Barkess Family, South France Villas Client, UK, August 2015
We would like to comment on our recent visit to Villa Chenet as follows: This house is in a lovely setting with the most amazing views of the valley, very peaceful, yet within a short drive distance of the charming village of Les Adrets, which is very laid back. Turn out of the property in the other direction and you arrive via country lanes at La Napoule which has everything you would need. The house is the best equipped property we have rented and we have rented a few ! Every drawer or cupboard you opened had things which made you feel at home, it is obviously a second home, not just a holiday let. It is in excellent condition, well maintained with dozens of towels, just the thing with kids and a pool. The housekeeper, Audrey, is lovely and made us feel most welcome immediately. The whole layout of the house was perfect, and while only three bedrooms, they are spaced out enough so that if people were sharing, there would not be a privacy problem because of how it has been planned. The master bedroom which is the only one on the first floor has stunning views across the valley from a most delightful balcony, with a set of binoculars supplied !! All three bathrooms have their individual character and are well equipped. The pool is perfect for the property and is right outside two of the bedrooms as well as the terrace and outside dining area, you will also find the hot tub located here in an elevated undercover terrace, which is great for night time dipping. The owners have thought of everything, kids pool toys and floats, hand made detailed notes on the locality, charming kitchen and utensils, great choice of reading, dvd’s, cd’s, games, we not hesitate to return or recommend this property. Regards, Leonie and Michael, South France Villas Client, August 2014
From the House Book from South France Villas Clients:- ...Had a wonderful hot and sunny week. House fabulous, short of nothing. Garden Swing very impressive and have instructions to build one in the garden at home for my wife.....we will return ... Mr and Mrs Fisher, August 2013 We have truly had a holiday, (even with two young children!)...Thank You. The house and surrounding area are wonderful, so homely, comfortable and beautiful. We have truly appreciated your attention to detail. Thank you again for arranging our sons birthday cake, it was delicious. Was an added bonus our son learned to swim this week too ! Thanks for everything - we'll definitely be back !!! Mr and Mrs Speed August 2013 ...A great week, you really have thought of everything. Many thanks to you and your Property Manager. Ian, June 2013
Now that we are home, I long to be back there again”Beautiful location in the hills outside Cannes which is a 20 minute drive away along mountain roads or motorway. Frejus a little closer. Local village is very peaceful with a chemist, some restaurants, a boulangerie and small grocery store. We usually shopped in Carrefour in Frejus. The house is approached by a narrow concrete road and is on a hillside. It is beautifully maintained and well organised house. The owners have thought of everything and helpful cards around the house guide you. The house is 3 bedded with 2 downstairs rooms that both open open out in to the pool and garden. Both are ensuite. The main living room also opens on to same. The house is itself is small, but perfectly adequate. Upstairs an ensuite bedroom with doors that open on to a small veranda, perfect for reading and star gazing. We spent hours and days in the pool. The gardens are not grassed (as is the norm in southern france) except at the side. There is a lovely 4 seater hammock, perfect for drinks in the garden. We didn't use the hot tub as it was hot enough outside. All mod cons included - nothing was missing - including full Sky TV and Wifi. Lovely food in the fridge on arrival thanks to Audrey who cares for the property. We had an amazing 2 weeks there and can not recommend it highly enough. Probably not suited to very small children who will wander as on a steep hillside or those of limited mobility, but for everyone else - magic. David, August 2013
I just wanted to take a few moments and tell you how delighted we were with our stay at Villa Chenet. It was exactly what we thought it would be like. We met the owners at the villa. They are delightful. We had a great time getting to know them. I also want to mention that Audrey (their keyholder) is great. She is so very nice. The grounds are beautiful and the views of the mountains are spectacular. The pool and hot tub were well used. The village is perfect and we enjoyed our morning coffee and croissants and pain au chocolat at the cafe and everyone was very friendly. Special acknowledgment to the owners of La Table D'Amanda who served us a great dinner and were so very friendly. We were able to explore the area a lot and I enjoyed visiting Gourdon and Antibes in particular. Thanks for all your help in arranging our stay. It was a great way to spend our anniversaries. We look forward to going back to Le Chenet in the near future. Shelley, September 2012
