Client Comments

Just a quick note to say we loved our stay in your villa.  Location is fabulous – we loved Tourettes and surrounds.   The villa is lovely and worked well for two couples as we each had our own floor.  The roof top terrace is a delight – we had breakfast and evening drinks there most nights.  We also enjoyed lunches and dinner on the main balcony and the pool when the weather was hot.   We followed all your recommendations and were blown away by the quality of the dining out in such a small village.  We particularly  enjoyed Cinq and Spelt – really inventive food, fantastic wine pairings and wonderful service.   Thanks for recommending the terrace at Spelt – we had a wonderful evening for our dinner there.  Food at Clovis was good but we thought not as good as the others despite having the Michelin star.  We also felt Clovis’s  wine matching wasn’t quite as good.  We still enjoyed it (just a comparison effect) and there is more menu choice so probably a good option for people who have particular likes and dislikes.   We eat pretty everything so set tasting course menus work well for us!   The property management team were also super helpful.   South France Villas client June 2022
We spent 7 days in paradise in our villa overlooking the beautiful village of Tourette-sur-Loup. The villa is huge, with a roof terrace overlooking the valley where we ate breakfast and dinner. The garden is gorgeous and of course it was wonderful to swim in the pool every day during this June's heatwave. We hope to come back!Mrs S, South France Villas client June 2019
We had a lovely holiday in Tourettes Sur Loup. The house is a large and very comfortable family home with beautiful views over the township and well beyond - in fact all the way to Antibes and the coast. The temptation was always there to just stay at home and enjoy its Provencal charm, but on most days it served as a well situated base from which to explore such wonderful places as Saint Paul de Vence, Nice, Grasse and Cannes. Tourettes itself is a charming and relaxing town full of artists and outstanding restaurants, and really serves as the perfect location for anyone wanting to enjoy the glories of Provence. We hope to return! Mr B, September 2017
Last night, three weeks after our holiday at Villa Ferrage had ended, my Mum and me sat down & still the thing we most wanted to do was look our holiday photos again.   Yes, there it was in 2D moving grandly across my phone, the old, calm stones of it, the big blue pool, the lush green mountainside that from 9pm every hot night is filled with a startling chorus of frogs, who stop around 2am, almost all at once.  But you would only know that if you creaked open the old wood shutters and went out onto the terrace to listen, because inside it is still and the thick, whitewashed, cold stone walls of a classic Mediterranean villa shut out the noise.  All of the furniture is comfortable and the house and objects are spotlessly clean.  This is not a flashy villa though - it is graciously beautiful and has decorations like a Medieval cloth pendant in the entrance hall. The garden could be photographed and put in a storybook and there are loungers to lie on by the pool in the hot, hot sun. If you don't want to do that you can go down the steep hill to Tourrettes-Sur-Loup, past the ancient Chapel Saint Jean, permanently open for passers by, with an odd, bright mural of Noah's Arc painted in the 1950's.  Here, in the village - built in Medieval times as though they were calculating what would most appeal to tourists in the future - there is indeed great appeal for tourists.  It is a gorgeous village and, at night, the square is lit with fairy lights.  But you have to work out the opening hours of the shops before you feel grounded: they close between 2 & 4 and on a Monday there is nowhere to buy cigarettes.  By the end of my stay I had gone from naive to native, and when we overheard some baffled (fellow) English people say, I wonder why all the shops are closed? we were able to tell them they'd reopen soon.  There's a market on Wednesday and stunning restaurants and an ice cream shop and bakery.  If the villa fulfills what your senses crave from a Mediterranean home, the village is just what you would hope for - and there it is, five minutes away by foot. The villa slept 7 of us comfortably and Sarah and the rest of the staff were excellent.  If you want to go on holiday, and know you are in the South of France, I can't imagine anywhere better than Villa Ferrage.  It's brilliant.  My sister said to me, Every stone step of it is imprinted on my mind.  She meant the steps up to the pool, where she would come with a bottle of rose in the sun, and join me, snoozing on the lounger.  Someone would have got some lunch from the village (before the shops shut.)  And I would open my eyes and see the blue sky and the golden stone of the villa and a palm tree.  It was the best family holiday we have ever had.  Beth Smith, June 2012
Just a quick note to say what a great time we had at the Villa Ferrage last week. The village of Tourrettes Sur Loup is fabulous and the villa is located in a perfect spot. Can you pass our thanks on to the owners, it was very comfortable. Thanks to you (South France Villas) and Stefan (house manager) for arranging such a nice trip. Charlotte, May 2009 Everybody loved the villa. The property was clean and well presented on arrival. The surrounding countryside is spectacular. Tourrettes is a wonderful village and we enjoyed many of the restaurants. We hold you accountable for the effect of the artisan boulangers on our figures! We will be recommending your villa to all and sundry! Summer 2008 We have just returned from 4 weeks of holiday. The one at your villa was ranked 1st among the 4 of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and the village. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Summer 2008
