Arrival & Departure

Changeover day is flexible. Arrival at 5pm. Depart at 10am. Late arrival possible only by prior arrangement. Please ensure that when you buy your aeroplane ticket, the flight time will allow for arrival before 9pm at the very latest.

Breakages

€3000 Euro for chateau + €1000 for the cottage to be paid by bank transfer before arrival and will be returned in the same way, less deductions for any breakages. Third party (public) liability insurance (and proof thereof) is required.

Telephone

Wi-Fi available. Neither the Owner nor the Agent can be responsible for interrupted internet service/slow speed or for loss/disruption of incoming signal for Satellite TV –Sky–Freesat–Apple TV etc., when applicable to the property.

Electric

Included. Wood is included for the two working fireplaces on request. Electric central heating in the cottage (not available for winter bookings).

Gas / Oil

Oil central heating in the Chateau on the ground floor (no heating in the Knight's Hall) and electric heating in the bedrooms on the first floor.

Bed Linen & Towels

Linen and towels are included in the rental. Please bring your own towels for the pool/beach. A full change of linen for both the Chateau and Cottage is €300 euro.

Cleaning

End-of-Stay cleaning charge included Maid service and Extra cleaning is available at 20€ per cleaner, per hour (approx €300 euro to clean the Chateau and Cottage together). End-of-stay cleaning charge is to cover "normal" cleaning throughout the house. However, while you are therefore not expected to hoover and mop everywhere, you are expected to leave kitchen appliances (ie. oven and fridge), crockery, kitchen utensils, and bathroom appliances clean, and not to leave litter in the garden. If the house is left in an unacceptable state, further monies may be retained from the breakages deposit. For weddings there is no clean up included for the actual day, this can be arranged at approx €20 euro per cleaner per hour.

Pets

Pets may be allowed at the owners discretion. Pets are not allowed in the swimming pool, bedrooms, or on the furniture and all mess should be removed from the garden/grounds.

Party Sizes

The owner is entitled to ask you to leave the property without any refund if the number of occupants exceeds 29 (or 21 if Chateau only). Maximum number of wedding guests is 150 to include the 29 residents.

Additional

Should the French Government implement Covid restrictions, the whole group including outside guests, must be able to provide proof of full vaccination (Passe Sanitaire) or a negative PCR test. It is the responsibility of the individual clients, not the owner of the property, to ensure this requirement is complied with. Fire: This is a region which has a high fire risk. It is forbidden to start fires anywhere in the property grounds. Only light BBQs in the area designated for this purpose. Swimming pool Safety: The owner is not responsible for any bodily injury next to or in the swimming pool. Children must be surveyed at all times.
