From the House Book:

We loved our stay at the Villa, the only problem being that it is so relaxing here, it’s hard to summon he energy to leave the villa. The Team have been fantastic, welcoming and efficient, friendly and unobtrusive. We will be back! We returned in 2013 and had an even better time! Jacob, Gabriel, Raphael, Jane and Lucy, July 2012 and August 2013

We had a lovely time staying at the house. We can’t wait to come back, we really enjoy staying here. We loved the pool and going to the beach. James you are a star about taking us on the boat, we had a great time and the girls always did our rooms on time and were so helpful it was a real treat having you. You looked after us very well and the breakfast was really yummy. Thank you very much and we hope to see you next year!! The Getter Family, June 2013

The Team were so friendly and helpful. Especially James, who went far beyond our expectations and a true asset. Bal Family, July 2013

From the Guest Book:-

We are home from our holiday and just wanted to express our gratitude to you for allowing us to share your beautiful Chateau. It was truly a marvellous experience and a month we will never forget. We miss the it, the village life and the wonderful ambience that belongs to the Chateau.

As you know we had about 30 friends and family join us over the 4 weeks with a new group coming in each Saturday. This was a truly special time for all of us to explore the area, cook the local cuisine and be part of the village community.

There were so many highlights, but we will always remember Sebastian as we made our daily vigil to his shop for croissants in the morning and beers in the late afternoon before dinner. We walked the many trails surrounding the village and just loved the wildflowers and our very own babbling brook. But I think it was the way the local villagers treated us that made it truly memorable. Everyday the locals would greet us and talk about - well Im not sure  what - but the languange barrier did not stop them chatting to us every day.

The staff at Le Bergerie were amazing and each week they supplied the most amazing dining experience for our guests. Quite a treat to have such a first class restaurant.

So thank you - thank you! The time was beyond expectations and provided us with our once in a lifetime French experience that will never be forgotton!

Warm regards,  Patricia Wilkinson, July 2012

From the Guest Book

The house, location, accommodations are super. Everything inside is perfect. But the best was to meet John! He is a very very nice person always ready to help us and for sure will become our friend for ever. We are very happy with our choice and strongly recommend Villa Eze for future guests. Carlos, January 2014

A magical, musical, memorable experience makes it difficult to find adequate words to relate our feelings about this sunny, enchanting wonderland.  It's the picturesque aura surrounding our stay that remains in our vision, and the kind generosity of the villa's owner that brings songs to our days.  We think the key element is the presence of John whose loving goodness radiates throughout his exceptional home, right into the hearts of those who dwell within.  Each day we looked forward to seeing his smiling, animated face, and on those rare occasions when he didn't come by, it felt like a 'loss.'  The Villa is immaculate, the closeby villages charming and the total ambiance one of a dreamy nature.  We joined our daughter and her family halfway through their stay, having one of the loveliest times of our life..........as we did last year at the same time. Walking onto the veranda early in the morning is a breathtaking experience, one which we repeated time and again with greater awe each time. It was a complete, joyful time. We are grateful for having been a part of this splendid area of the world, if only for a brief interlude.  Our sincere thank you.  Nancy and Ron Grigsby

We were met by the owner who invited us in, showed us around and then poured us wine and cooked our first meal while we relaxed. If only every experience in life excelled like this. The pictures of the Villa did not lie - It was actually more beautiful then i could have imagined. Perfect vacation, we will be back next year!!! Roger, August 2013

Thank you for a lovely week in you beautiful villa. Everything was as we expected on arrival and you made us feel very welcome. The villa was ideally situated for visits to Eze Village, Beaulieu, La Turbie and Monaco. We had 2 fabulous candle lit dinners with live music and great food. at Anjouna Beach restaurant just below us (thank you for the recommendation) The view from the villa was beautiful and you helpfulness made our week very relaxing. The pool is fantastic! Thank you again and hope to see you next year. Kind regards, A guest, 2012

We had a fabulous time in the South of France at the end of 2012, thanks to a large degree to the team at South France Villas, mainly Nicky, who quickly addressed all our queries and made sure everything was crystal clear before we arrived. We chose to stay at Maison Mimosa in Roquebrun and it turned out to be a great decision: in our party of 6 everyone could have their own bedroom and ensuite bathroom and this contributed greatly to a sense of harmony. Moreover, the view from the balconies on the second floor onto the river are breathtaking, and as Roquebrun has its own microclimate (which has earned it the nickname 'petit nice') the sun was almost always shining and it was relatively warm for the time of year.
In the lower part of the house there's an indoor swimming pool and sauna - all beautifully laid out and recently installed. The owner also kindly had firewood and a table tennis table sent to the house while we were there, which was much appreciated. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the living room very cosy.
The Owner and her local agent, were extremely kind and helpful and provided us with key information about location and directions, as well as tips on the local region and restaurants, as did the South France Villas team. Roquebrun is a little off the beaten track, but the local food (you must visit the local restaurant 'Le Petit Nice' at least 6 times, as did we - it is famous in the region and very well-priced) and wine and gorgeous medieval villages and towns more than make up for it. I would recommend this property to families with older children (especially in summer, when there's more to do on the river). The region is gorgeous and relatively unspoilt - we can't wait to go back.

From the Guest Book:

Thanks for a wonderful staying and a good hospitality.  The house was nice, the pool was nice and cooling in the heat, so was a trip to a vineyard and tasted good wine.  We are now driving back to Norway - 2-3 days in the car.  Thanks for this time. Merci!  Family Flafekval, August 2012

I just wanted to take a few moments and tell you how delighted we were with our stay at Villa Chenet.  It was exactly what we thought it would be like.  We met the owners at the villa.  They are delightful.  We had a great time getting to know them.  I also want to mention that Audrey (their keyholder) is great.  She is so very nice. The grounds are beautiful and the views of the mountains are spectacular.  The pool and hot tub were well used. The village is perfect and we enjoyed our morning coffee and croissants and pain au chocolat at the cafe and everyone was very friendly.  Special acknowledgment to the owners of La Table D'Amanda who served us a great dinner and were so very friendly. We were able to explore the area a lot and I enjoyed visiting Gourdon and Antibes in particular. Thanks for all your help in arranging our stay.  It was a great way to spend our anniversaries. We look forward to going back to Le Chenet in the near future. Shelley, September 2012

The Henderson family, from London, spent a very enjoyable fortnight at the villa provided a great base for a family holiday.  The table tennis and the pool proved very popular with everyone.  Meals under the vine were also most enjoyable.  The Owner made some great recommendations - the market at St Chinian was well worth a visit - we also had a very good lunch there.  Pézenas was lovely - a beautiful old town with lots of boutique type shops. Canoeing at Roquebrun was great fun. We did the 5km run which was just right for beginners, althought there was more avaialble for the more adventurous/experienced. We visited Serignan beach which was very pleasant, but our favourite was Cabanes de Fleury - not too busy, great sand for castle-building and not at all commerical.  Take a picnic and plenty of water!  We also paid a visit to the lake at Salagou, very picturesque, but we probably should have investigated the best place to head for before setting off. The pizzeria next door to the supermarket does very good food - don't be put off by the surroundings. All in all, we have had a fantastic time and the Wi-Fi worked for us too! Merci Beaucoup! Family Henderson, South Fance Villas Client, August 2012

This has been a great week.  In Norwary it has been raining and cold this week and we have been at this lovely villa.  We had wonderful weather - no rain.  Children and parents enjoyed the pool and the surrounding area.  The house is excellent - relaly would recommend this place.  Thank you for the stay. Cecile, Hans Mikkel and family, July 2012

From the Guest Book:

We had a wonderful time in your villa.  I must tell you, your manager, John was the very best  Johnny on the spot I have ever seen!! If we needed something fixed or purchased he did it immediately.  He made our trip very special. The housekeeping services were excellent.  The restaurants were wonderful.  We tried all of them. Everyone connected to the villa was friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you for the new linen, much better!! The markets were a treat.  The opening and closing of the villa went without a hitch. Thank you, Gloria July 2012

This is the second summer we've stayed at the villa. It was truly a magical unforgettable experience for me and my husband, our parents, and our little 4 year old son. This is one of those places where you definitely wish the vacation never ended! The location was idyllic (super easy to get to neighbouring Beaulieu, St. Jean Cap Ferrat, and Villefrance either by car or bus...or cycling/running) and the weather was perfect. The owner's attention to detail is second to none, and we couldn't have been better taken care of! This was a very special experience, one that will be etched in our hearts forever. We love the South of France, and we love the magical villa.  Recommended for ages 55+, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway Lynn, Gene, and Lorenzo (and Nancy & Ron, Kay & Jim), August 2012

Thank you so much for your magnificent villa that was all mine for 5 fantastic weeks. Angie, August 2012

Congratulations on this magnificent oasis you have created.  What a holiday home, magnificent views from every room and the pool!  The kids had great fun exploring the garden, with Jack (9) even getting his dad to sleep in the hammocks one night!  Your Restaurant recommendations were spot on, we tried them all, with L'Ambroise being a real find as we could watch over our kids playing in the playground from our table!

We had a super holiday, day trips to Perpignan, Barcelona and Figueres where the Dali Museum is a must for any guest at the Villa.  The keyholder was really helpful and Marie a great babysitter for the kids. Very Best Wishes and many thanks, Martine, Niall, Ellen, Jack, Rachel and Jenny, July 2012, Client Comment from Visitor's Book

My three generation family of six (ages 11 - 75) stayed at the Domaine for a heavenly week late June, 2012.  From the moment we arrived at the Domaine's lovely arched entrance to our reluctant departure to take the TGV to Paris we were enthralled with both the accommodations and the surrounding area.  The Domaine is even more beautiful than the impressive photographs.  We felt we were living in a fairy tale castle - but one that had a beautiful modern pool and comfortable and handsome furnishings - many of which are impressive antiques. The gardens and pool overlook miles and miles of vineyards and the setting is magical.  We rushed home from our daily outings to be there for our evening swim and alfresco dinner before enjoying the glorious sunset and twinkling lights of the small villages beyond.  The area is full of intriguing road trips such as Montpellier, Sete and Carcassonne, but we loved neighboring medieval Pezenas and returned there several times between other adventures. All of us highly recommend the Domaine and are hoping to return one day.  Constance Cowen, June 2012

Last night, three weeks after our holiday at Villa Ferrage had ended, my Mum and me sat down & still the thing we most wanted to do was look our holiday photos again.   Yes, there it was in 2D moving grandly across my phone, the old, calm stones of it, the big blue pool, the lush green mountainside that from 9pm every hot night is filled with a startling chorus of frogs, who stop around 2am, almost all at once.  But you would only know that if you creaked open the old wood shutters and went out onto the terrace to listen, because inside it is still and the thick, whitewashed, cold stone walls of a classic Mediterranean villa shut out the noise.  All of the furniture is comfortable and the house and objects are spotlessly clean.  This is not a flashy villa though - it is graciously beautiful and has decorations like a Medieval cloth pendant in the entrance hall. The garden could be photographed and put in a storybook and there are loungers to lie on by the pool in the hot, hot sun.

If you don't want to do that you can go down the steep hill to Tourrettes-Sur-Loup, past the ancient Chapel Saint Jean, permanently open for passers by, with an odd, bright mural of Noah's Arc painted in the 1950's.  Here, in the village - built in Medieval times as though they were calculating what would most appeal to tourists in the future - there is indeed great appeal for tourists.  It is a gorgeous village and, at night, the square is lit with fairy lights.  But you have to work out the opening hours of the shops before you feel grounded: they close between 2 & 4 and on a Monday there is nowhere to buy cigarettes.  By the end of my stay I had gone from naive to native, and when we overheard some baffled (fellow) English people say, I wonder why all the shops are closed? we were able to tell them they'd reopen soon.  There's a market on Wednesday and stunning restaurants and an ice cream shop and bakery.  If the villa fulfills what your senses crave from a Mediterranean home, the village is just what you would hope for - and there it is, five minutes away by foot.

The villa slept 7 of us comfortably and Sarah and the rest of the staff were excellent.  If you want to go on holiday, and know you are in the South of France, I can't imagine anywhere better than Villa Ferrage.  It's brilliant.  My sister said to me, Every stone step of it is imprinted on my mind.  She meant the steps up to the pool, where she would come with a bottle of rose in the sun, and join me, snoozing on the lounger.  Someone would have got some lunch from the village (before the shops shut.)  And I would open my eyes and see the blue sky and the golden stone of the villa and a palm tree.  It was the best family holiday we have ever had.  Beth Smith, June 2012

I would like to thank you for an absolutely unforgettable week we spent in H44 Les Rocailles. We really appreciated not only the place itself but also the spirit of the villa with adorable Provence soul. And I would like to stress the exceptional approach of the owners.....they are really great, helpful and very customer oriented. We are really very satisfied by our holidays we spent there. We wish you a successful season and lot of clients so satisfied as we are.  In fact, I worked in the tourism for years so that I can appreciate the really professional service of your agency on the one side and the really client oriented behaviour of the property owner on the other one. The next year is very far now but my children have already started to look at your site where we can pass our common time the next summer :-) Katerina Cempirkova, South France Villas Client, June 2012

A magnificent house, an idyllic spot, facing the sea with a private and direct access to the beach, charming, welcoming Owners, all went well with our lovely holidayVincent J, Belgium, May 2012

We had a lovely time staying in this villa. The owners are lovely, helpful, welcoming and so accommodating. The villa itself was fantastic. We did not know what to expect but with two little ones of 4 years old the place is great. A beautiful garden for play and the beach at your doorstep, internet and some English satellite TV channels. We were able to sit and relax on the terrace with a book and a strong coffee and keep an eye on them, while they amused themselves for hours. There were toys so no stress about having to buy or bring. Easy walk up the beach to town and supermarket shopping up the road - could nip out for croissants and baguettes, great what a difference having it fresh rather than stale and rubbery from the supermarket. Lots of facilities and activities for families with children and the marina and little places tucked away near the harbour for lunch and dinner in Agde. I would recommend this villa and the owners are so lovely they made sure we had all we could possibly need. I am really looking forward to going again. It is really home away from home. No actually better in alot of ways than home. Thank you. Dodie Baker, October 2011

Just thought I would let you know how impressed we were with the Villa. Really lovely people who we managed to communicate to with a little French and a little English - it is not often a holiday villa exceeds expectations, but this one definitely did. With it's garage being perfect for my car as well there was nothing not catered for and even an excellent beach restaurant within walking distance! Many thanks, Regards. John Kelly, June 2011

Just a note to tell you how Tricia and I got on down at Les Rocailles, we did want to put comments on your website but couldn't work out how to so I would very much like you to add ours to the others, we did tell the Owners that we would so don't let me down :). The villa lived up to all our expectations, more so because as well as charm and beauty it retains a huge sense of homeliness, a very comfortable feeling. The family greeted us as if we were returning family friends, so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything about the holiday was wonderful and we would definitely return. I thought I was going to have to prise Tricia out with a crowbar and she got all tearful saying thanks to Madame and then Madame got tearful ... !! Kate Potter, October 2010

A brief note prompted by the return of our holiday photos. Les Rocailles was a dream - the best beach, best views, fabulous barbeque area. If I have a criticism it's that your photos - nor ours - do it justice. To walk through the front door and see the sun sparkling on the Med is a sight I won't forget in a hurry - or to wake up in the morning to that amazing view across to the Pyrenees! The owners were so kind and helpful as well. All in all our best holiday yet. Thanks for the prompt and efficient service - we'll be back. Chris & Elaine Humphris, September 2010

We have just returned from a week’s holiday here and we had the most fabulous time. Every aspect of the house and garden has been carefully thought out and no detail is too much trouble. It is fully equipped and beautifully decorated. Comfy beds, great showers, big sofas, amazing outdoor eating area, a lovely garden and the fabulous beach is on your doorstep. The owners were charming and helpful. There is a great market every day in the nearby town as well as all the shops, bars and restaurants you could need. We forgot we had a car – just using the on site bikes or walking. Everything is nearby and it is truly brilliant. We will be back for sure. Thank you so much! Kate Perry, September 2010

Just a note to say that we very much enjoyed the villa. The weather was fantastic. The owners were very nice and very helpful. Trevor Sampson, June 2010
