The Bastide was exactly what we all needed after the last two and a half years. Spacious, very well appointed and with a beautiful garden and pool. My wife and I seldom do quiet holidays, we're more inclined to explore, visit and generally get out and about, but not this time, and the house and the village it sits in were perfect for this - a lovely unspoiled little place. True there's not much there, but that was just fine, a Tabac, cafe and restaurant were all that was needed. The house had so much space to stretch and breathe, despite there being seven of us. It was never crowded, never busy, no falling over each other, it was the perfect spot just to be. The greatest compliment, is that it only took about 36 hours before one of our party suggested we should get it booked for next year! I would have no hesitation in coming back and I'll happily recommend the property to anyone looking for a truly relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. Superb holiday villa, everything you could hope for; wonderful location, a great time had by all. Our hosts were very gracious, even with our very late arrival due to travel delays. Just a quick note to say we loved our stay in your villa. Location is fabulous – we loved Tourettes and surrounds. The villa is lovely and worked well for two couples as we each had our own floor. The roof top terrace is a delight – we had breakfast and evening drinks there most nights. We also enjoyed lunches and dinner on the main balcony and the pool when the weather was hot.
We followed all your recommendations and were blown away by the quality of the dining out in such a small village. We particularly enjoyed Cinq and Spelt – really inventive food, fantastic wine pairings and wonderful service. Thanks for recommending the terrace at Spelt – we had a wonderful evening for our dinner there. Food at Clovis was good but we thought not as good as the others despite having the Michelin star. We also felt Clovis’s wine matching wasn’t quite as good. We still enjoyed it (just a comparison effect) and there is more menu choice so probably a good option for people who have particular likes and dislikes. We eat pretty everything so set tasting course menus work well for us!
The property management team were also super helpful.
The pool was great when we got there, we then had a few days of rain. I admit I spent a lot of time in the pool, it’s my favourite place. Your pool was amazing and the terrace was beautiful! We really did enjoy our stay at your house, it was spotless, comfortable and beautiful. The terraces were amazing and we had some lovely meals at sunset. I would recommend it to everyone. We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Capion. Thank you for your very warm welcome. The place is exceptionally calm. The house is very pretty, very clean and nothing was missing. The garden is beautiful with the trees in flower and we were delighted every day by the song of the nightingale. As the land is completely fenced, our dog had a great time.
