Our stay at Domaine Marsanne was spectacular. The villa was the perfect size for our group of four couples, as we each had a large, beautifully decorated bedroom with a private bath. There are two living rooms, a spacious dining room, a gourmet kitchen, and three outdoor dining areas, including one by the pool. The immaculately landscaped grounds reminded us of a Monet painting and include a petanque court, which led to some delightful pre-dinner competitions. The villa is well situated, about twenty minutes from Avignon and St. Remy and about 30 minutes from Les Baux and Isle sur la Sorgue. It was an easy drive to Pont du Gard, Nimes, Gordes and Roussillon. We were able to do a lot of sight seeing while being able to return in time to chill by the pool and prepare dinner. Our hosts were kind and helpful, and provide a notebook filled with tourist information. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to be able to return one day. Judith, May 2019
We have just had a really enjoyable stay at Bastide Maia, it was the most perfect villa with a beautiful large heated pool. The accommodation was a perfect layout for our party of 6 adults (3 couples)with our own individual space and was so well equipped with everything we could have ever needed as well as being spotlessly clean. The location is excellent too with an easy walk to the quaint, authentic local village with a great boulangerie and pizzeria. the owners were the most lovely people, so polite and kind with a great laid back attitude to renting out their gorgeous house. Philippe kept delivering breakfast for us and one day left us a delicious tarte aux pommes. He went out of his way to make sure we had a brilliant time and genuinely cared about us. I can't recommend the villa enough it was beautiful. The service offered by South France Villas is also excellent as Yvonne found this villa for me after we had spoken on the phone about my requirements which were fully met. Beautiful villa with an infinity pool and view of the Bay of St. Tropez. The rooms and beds are quite comfortable. It has modern appliances but the clothes dryer was not working when we were there. We also had a problem with wifi and TV but owners notified us of the problem and did what they could to have it fixed. All in all it was a great experience and the hosts were responsive and accomodating. There was a large damage deposit (£1000) which was refunded promptly but if you are from the US, you lose money on the transfers and exchange. I would stay at this property again. We had a great week over Easter. A really lovely, well equipped villa that was perfect for our family of five. We got really lucky with the weather and spent most mornings visiting a local beach and then the afternoon by the pool/in the hot tub. There's so much to see and do in the area and it was very nice to visit at the start of the season whilst it was still quiet. The owners could not have been more accommodating. They even did a full shop for us before we arrived. Which was blissful as French supermarkets can be a bit overwhelming on the first day of your holiday. We had a great stay at the villa, the owner and her family welcomed us and explained everything we needed to know. The house and surroundings are as shown on the website and all was perfectly functional and well designed. it is an easy to use and enjoy place. The terrace is great and we used it a lot. The swimming pool is of perfect size for children and safe. Vence is a very pleasant city close to all the the places we wanted to visit. The house is ideally located close to Vence but in a quiet neighborhood. To summarize, great location, palce and hosts. I defiinitely recommend! October 2018

A great break in a lovely villa. Great property with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and plenty of space to spread out, inside and outside. Special thanks to Jess for her helping out with printing out our problem boarding pass!
The holiday was lovely thank you, and the rose wine that was left was really excellent, one of our favourites of the trip. Overall we were all very pleased with the house; it very charming in that it felt like a family’s villa rather than a purpose built holiday rental. The children’s play room with the air conditioning proved invaluable for us and we were delighted that we had that space to retire to with them. We enjoyed the variety of outdoor spaces to sit in depending on the time of day and we also felt the quality and size of the furnishings in the living room was excellent when compared to similar sized properties for rent in Provence. Another highlight of the holiday was the swimming pool which was well maintained, clean and a lovely temperature; with the added bonus of the toddlers pool.
The view over the vineyard visible from the top floor was particularly lovely but there was no particular location outside from which to enjoy the view. I don’t know whether you would consider removing or pruning down some of the plants around the edge to allow better views? Although I appreciate that the surrounding hedge does offer a nice sense of privacy when outside.
Finally I wonder whether the pool towels could do with updating, just in the context of such a well finished property these were a little past their best. (The owner has now replaced the towels).

This villa is the very best we have stayed at, so much so that this is our third visit, and each time the villa just gets better. A party of six adults yet still so much space, extremely well equipped, large clean pool, stunning views and magical with the lights for night swimming, and so many terraces to choose from. Situated in the best spot of Autignac overlooking vineyards, watching the sunset on the balcony with the Pyrenees in the distance - what's not to love. The area is so perfect for such a variety of day trips, this year we explored Sete just an hours drive away and the old streets of Pezanas which have a similar feel to Carcassonne Castle, a morning river swimming and canoeing at Roquebrun and still so much more to explore. We love it here and this villa spoils us, we will be back!
I thought I’d send some feedback about our holiday this year. We had an absolute ball at Chateau St Marthe in Roujan. Our four families have some comments that they wanted me to pass on to you and the owner.
First of all, thanks for your attention to detail and all you did to make the holiday a success. I’ve travelled extensively and I was very impressed by the team at South France Villas.
The house itself was fabulous. We loved it but would like to raise a couple of points.
The main issue we had was with the kitchen. While it was a great size, it was badly let down by the inadequate fridge/freezer arrangement. We were a party of 15 in the height of summer and it was a constant battle to keep food and drinks cold. We all love our food and wine/beer, and frankly the old fridges were just terrible!
The DVD player was broken.
We were told the pool would be cleaned/looked at during the course of our week-long stay but this didn’t happen. We really didn’t mind - but others might.
Lastly, the cook we hired - Debbi Reid from Roujan - was absolutely brilliant. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending her to future guests. She enhanced our stay hugely.
We all enjoyed our time at the house very much, and would certainly return given the chance in the future. I hope you do not mind our comments but instead take them in the spirit intended: to enhance other people’s holidays at a wonderful, character-filled villa in a beautiful area of France. Just like to say thank you for a wonderful stay at Villa Bastide Maia. A fabulous property, immaculately presented throughout and well equipped. After meeting the owner on arrival, we were given a guided tour of the accommodation and all that it has to offer. Having separate buildings, each with its own private facilities added to the comfort we experienced during our stay. The welcome pack of cheese, wine and bread was excellent, as were the breakfast pastries. A big thank you to the owner. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION – this wonderful house has the best of them all. We will always remember the many dinners and drinks overlooking the beach and ocean watching the spectacular sunsets. The beautiful garden where we sat talking, eating and listening to music many a night. The owners couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly, always available to answer any questions we had and keeping up with us when we had some health issues.
