This was everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. Beautiful house with green surroundings in a very typical French little town named Magalas. The house is modern designed and has everything what is needed. Swimming pool is great, especially for the kids. Great BBQ equipment, gas as well as wood. Thank you for a lovely week at the Chateau.The whole family gathered here (7 adults, 4 children) to celebrate a 40th Wedding Anniversay and it was a trip to be remembered. The Chateau itself was the perfect space for a large group - lots of room to spread out but yet accommodated meals and time together. The kids enjoyed the pool and the garden.We got croissants most mornings and had a lovely meal (wine & food pairings) at Le Bergerie. The rest of our dinners were prepared for us by the cooks we engaged and were absolutely great! We had fun exploring what the area had to offer and had a lovely time spending time with family. We are home from our holiday and just wanted to express our gratitude to you for allowing us to share your beautiful Chateau. It was truly a marvellous experience and a month we will never forget. We miss the it, the village life and the wonderful ambience that belongs to the Chateau.
As you know we had about 30 friends and family join us over the 4 weeks with a new group coming in each Saturday. This was a truly special time for all of us to explore the area, cook the local cuisine and be part of the village community.
There were so many highlights, but we will always remember Sebastian as we made our daily vigil to his shop for croissants in the morning and beers in the late afternoon before dinner. We walked the many trails surrounding the village and just loved the wildflowers and our very own babbling brook. But I think it was the way the local villagers treated us that made it truly memorable. Everyday the locals would greet us and talk about - well Im not sure what - but the languange barrier did not stop them chatting to us every day.
The staff at Le Bergerie were amazing and each week they supplied the most amazing dining experience for our guests. Quite a treat to have such a first class restaurant.
So thank you - thank you! The time was beyond expectations and provided us with our once in a lifetime French experience that will never be forgotton!

This home is the perfect location to see Provence. It is a mere 5 to 8 minute drive to Aix where there are great markets, museums,restaurants and shopping. Marseille airport and the TGV are close by and easily accessible. If one has a car, there is no limit to easy day- trips, ours included Marseille, Cassis, Avignon, Arles, Gordes ,St Remy, Luberon hills and some in our party even managed Nice. The house is well designed with a large terrace for pool and patio meals. A well treed property with lovely landscaping provides great privacy from surrounding neighbors but allows for various outdoor activities. The large house is beautiful with sufficient room to easily accommodate group and/or solitary pleasures. The five bedrooms and three baths are separated into three sections, providing great privacy and quiet.The kitchen is a cook's dream with good appliances and ample room for comfortable meal prep while still being able to allow for others to congregate. There is a great fruit and vegetable shop within walking distance where one can also buy wine, cheese and sweets if a larger shop at Carrefour is not desirable. The property manager Paul and his lovely wife are available when needed for advice, directions or help but are unobtrusive. The only slight negative would be the rush hour traffic on the small road in front of the property-otherwise, everything was perfect. We would like to comment on our recent visit to Villa Chenet as follows:
This house is in a lovely setting with the most amazing views of the valley, very peaceful, yet within a short drive distance of the charming village of Les Adrets, which is very laid back. Turn out of the property in the other direction and you arrive via country lanes at La Napoule which has everything you would need.
The house is the best equipped property we have rented and we have rented a few ! Every drawer or cupboard you opened had things which made you feel at home, it is obviously a second home, not just a holiday let. It is in excellent condition, well maintained with dozens of towels, just the thing with kids and a pool. The housekeeper, Audrey, is lovely and made us feel most welcome immediately. The whole layout of the house was perfect, and while only three bedrooms, they are spaced out enough so that if people were sharing, there would not be a privacy problem because of how it has been planned. The master bedroom which is the only one on the first floor has stunning views across the valley from a most delightful balcony, with a set of binoculars supplied !! All three bathrooms have their individual character and are well equipped.
The pool is perfect for the property and is right outside two of the bedrooms as well as the terrace and outside dining area, you will also find the hot tub located here in an elevated undercover terrace, which is great for night time dipping.
The owners have thought of everything, kids pool toys and floats, hand made detailed notes on the locality, charming kitchen and utensils, great choice of reading, dvd’s, cd’s, games, we not hesitate to return or recommend this property. Villa La Voile is wonderful in almost every way. We never tired of the view over the small bay below us and watching the sun rise each morning without the need to leave our bed was just magical. Collioure is a delightful, very friendly, town, but in the Summer it gets very crowded. One of the advantages of Villa La Voile is that you don’t need a car – you can walk into the town and there are a number of small local shops to provide all you need. The villa itself is a wonderful space in which to live with some excellent design features. The integration of the internal and external living spaces and the presence of the infinity pool result in everyone being able to make the most of each day. Above all, the villa is a ‘home’ and it feels like it. All 10 of our party asked when we would be able to return and rated it 11/10!Laurie, South France Villas Client, August 2014
We had a wonderful two-week holiday at Les Chenes Verts. The villa is fantastic, so well-equipped and beautifully appointed. The pool area and the gardens are stunning. For us, the villa scored very highly in terms of the quality and quantity of the furnishings, kitchen equipment, loungers, barbecue etc. We also really appreciated all the smaller things and general attention to detail such as hand soap and tissues in each room, plenty of loo roll (!), crossword puzzles...the list goes on. It felt as is if a great deal of thought had gone into everything, and that certainly made our holiday a relaxing and enjoyable one. We really enjoyed visiting places nearby including Grasse, old Mougins, Valbonne and Monaco (by train).Thanks also the on-site 'gardiens', who were always there to help if needed. We've had an idyllic holiday - perfect for entertaining 3 yr olds to 40-50 somethings! The pool was lovely and we used it every day. We found you as a result of a recommendation and the house has managed to absorb all of us seamlessly.
