Our international group of friends had the most amazing time at this very atmospheric Chateau. We enjoyed the tasteful ambience, where modern Zen has been successfully 'married' to a building which is several hundred years old. Aragon is conveniently close to Carcassonne, yet its position in a rural village allowed us to enjoy tranquillity and peace whenever we felt like it. Everybody was friendly and exceptionally helpful: The agency South France Villas, the local keyholder Anne, and the villagers were a delight to talk to. We have just returned from a fabulous week in this villa and it was truly wonderful. The beach and pool were perfect for the children and the owners very kindly provided the use of floats, water toys, beach toys and a canoe! The garden is tranquil and private and when it was too hot for the beach, the children played frisbee or ball games out back. There were six of us staying, but plenty of room for privacy with the many and varied patios and balconies. The sunsets and star gazing were highlights, as was the daily market in town. Simply lovely house in a stunning location and with an absolutely fabulous pool. The owners and housekeeper were exceptionally kind and helpful, which is not always the case in holiday rentals. The outside spaces were so well thought out offering stunning views and very sociable areas at different times of the day. We certainly would love to return again and again. This is by far the cleanest villa I have ever rented and we normally rent at this level. Anna prepared the house superbly for our arrival and the plethora of towels and sheets was superb. The house was very relaxing and totally as the photos, the owner was super nice and answered any questions and the staff at South France Villas have been amazing helping address any issues.
