True to its name, this villa really is the accommodation with the best view and services of Eze. Tucked up into the hill, this effortlessly perfect villa is the ideal escape. I traveled to southern France from New York on vacation with friends and it was recommended to me that we stay in Eze (easily the town with the most charm in entirety of Cote d'Azur). And the villa was everything we had hoped for and more. We enjoyed waking up each morning with a view that took our breath away, the short and convenient walk to the beach, lounging by the infinity pool and cocktails on the patio. Each of the villa's sweeping views, from the master bedroom, to the living and the infinity pool are something to be marvelled. The villa is perfectly equipped with spacious and comfortable sleeping arrangements. There were only 3 of us but it could easily accommodate up to 7! The house manager was the LOVELIEST man, always willing to offer sage advice on the best places to go, what to see and where to get the perfect rotisserie chicken. We rented Villa Cassis at the end of May for a 2-week period. It is a beautiful villa with all the comforts one could wish for. It is perfectly located and it was a pleasure to return to Villa Cassis after a day of sightseeing and relax in this quiet and idyllic setting. The villa was a perfect destination for us. We loved that it was tucked into the hills and so close to such a lovely little village (Gattieres) offering great dining, convenient food shopping and kind people. It was also very easy to get to Nice itself and we were able to explore a lot of the beautiful surrounding villages. The house itself was in wonderful condition and was very comfortable, offering all of the amenities of home. The pool area had beautiful views as did the outdoor dining area. We had a fabulous time in the South of France at the end of 2012, thanks to a large degree to the team at South France Villas, mainly Nicky, who quickly addressed all our queries and made sure everything was crystal clear before we arrived. We chose to stay at Maison Mimosa in Roquebrun and it turned out to be a great decision: in our party of 6 everyone could have their own bedroom and ensuite bathroom and this contributed greatly to a sense of harmony. Moreover, the view from the balconies on the second floor onto the river are breathtaking, and as Roquebrun has its own microclimate (which has earned it the nickname 'petit nice') the sun was almost always shining and it was relatively warm for the time of year. In the lower part of the house there's an indoor swimming pool and sauna - all beautifully laid out and recently installed. The owner also kindly had firewood and a table tennis table sent to the house while we were there, which was much appreciated. The kitchen is very well-equipped and the living room very cosy. The Owner and her local agent, were extremely kind and helpful and provided us with key information about location and directions, as well as tips on the local region and restaurants, as did the South France Villas team. Roquebrun is a little off the beaten track, but the local food (you must visit the local restaurant 'Le Petit Nice' at least 6 times, as did we - it is famous in the region and very well-priced) and wine and gorgeous medieval villages and towns more than make up for it. I would recommend this property to families with older children (especially in summer, when there's more to do on the river). I just wanted to take a few moments and tell you how delighted we were with our stay at Villa Chenet. It was exactly what we thought it would be like. We met the owners at the villa. They are delightful. We had a great time getting to know them. I also want to mention that Audrey (their keyholder) is great. She is so very nice. The grounds are beautiful and the views of the mountains are spectacular. The pool and hot tub were well used. The village is perfect and we enjoyed our morning coffee and croissants and pain au chocolat at the cafe and everyone was very friendly. Special acknowledgment to the owners of La Table D'Amanda who served us a great dinner and were so very friendly. We were able to explore the area a lot and I enjoyed visiting Gourdon and Antibes in particular. Thanks for all your help in arranging our stay. It was a great way to spend our anniversaries. The Henderson family, from London, spent a very enjoyable fortnight at the villa provided a great base for a family holiday. The table tennis and the pool proved very popular with everyone. Meals under the vine were also most enjoyable. The Owner made some great recommendations - the market at St Chinian was well worth a visit - we also had a very good lunch there. Pézenas was lovely - a beautiful old town with lots of boutique type shops. Canoeing at Roquebrun was great fun. We did the 5km run which was just right for beginners, althought there was more avaialble for the more adventurous/experienced. We visited Serignan beach which was very pleasant, but our favourite was Cabanes de Fleury - not too busy, great sand for castle-building and not at all commerical. Take a picnic and plenty of water! We also paid a visit to the lake at Salagou, very picturesque, but we probably should have investigated the best place to head for before setting off. The pizzeria next door to the supermarket does very good food - don't be put off by the surroundings. All in all, we have had a fantastic time and the Wi-Fi worked for us too! Merci Beaucoup! We thoroughly enjolyed our stay it was ideal for the grandchildren. The area is lovely and quiet, with the people of Magalas being extremely friendly. The butcher is highly recommended, with the best pork we've ever had. The baker was superb and provided an excellent "gateau anniversaire" for a family birthday - just about all you could want in the village or nearby, with the delights of Pezenas a short drive and larger stores in Beziers if needed. Canoeing on the river was good fun, the beach at Valras highly recommended and extremely safe for small children. We enjoyed an excellent holiday in one of our favourite areas and we'll be going again when we can. Chris and Christine

This is the second summer we've stayed at the villa. It was truly a magical unforgettable experience for me and my husband, our parents, and our little 4 year old son. This is one of those places where you definitely wish the vacation never ended! The location was idyllic (super easy to get to neighbouring Beaulieu, St. Jean Cap Ferrat, and Villefrance either by car or bus...or cycling/running) and the weather was perfect. This is a property that combines charm, luxury, authenticity, a beautiful region and a warm welcome. The pool and the tennis court were enjoyed by both the children and the adults. The gardens are beautiful and perfectly maintained (the gardener comes-by every day to service the pool and garden.) Equally, if there are any problems with the house, the repair-man comes within a day. The property is familial and traditional for calm holidays. All that you need by way of shopping is 10 minutes away at St Ambroix. There is even a possibility of ready-made meals to be provided by the owner on request. We were a group of 20 friends and family members spanning 4 generations and everyone had an excellent holiday (15 days in July) thanks to the quality of the property (spacious and charming), the kindness and availability of the owner and the beauty of the surrounding region. We had a super holiday, day trips to Perpignan, Barcelona and Figueres where the Dali Museum is a must for any guest at the Villa. Last night, three weeks after our holiday at Villa Ferrage had ended, my Mum and me sat down & still the thing we most wanted to do was look our holiday photos again. Yes, there it was in 2D moving grandly across my phone, the old, calm stones of it, the big blue pool, the lush green mountainside that from 9pm every hot night is filled with a startling chorus of frogs, who stop around 2am, almost all at once. But you would only know that if you creaked open the old wood shutters and went out onto the terrace to listen, because inside it is still and the thick, whitewashed, cold stone walls of a classic Mediterranean villa shut out the noise. All of the furniture is comfortable and the house and objects are spotlessly clean. This is not a flashy villa though - it is graciously beautiful and has decorations like a Medieval cloth pendant in the entrance hall. The garden could be photographed and put in a storybook and there are loungers to lie on by the pool in the hot, hot sun.
If you don't want to do that you can go down the steep hill to Tourrettes-Sur-Loup, past the ancient Chapel Saint Jean, permanently open for passers by, with an odd, bright mural of Noah's Arc painted in the 1950's. Here, in the village - built in Medieval times as though they were calculating what would most appeal to tourists in the future - there is indeed great appeal for tourists. It is a gorgeous village and, at night, the square is lit with fairy lights. But you have to work out the opening hours of the shops before you feel grounded: they close between 2 & 4 and on a Monday there is nowhere to buy cigarettes. By the end of my stay I had gone from naive to native, and when we overheard some baffled (fellow) English people say, I wonder why all the shops are closed? we were able to tell them they'd reopen soon. There's a market on Wednesday and stunning restaurants and an ice cream shop and bakery. If the villa fulfills what your senses crave from a Mediterranean home, the village is just what you would hope for - and there it is, five minutes away by foot.
The villa slept 7 of us comfortably and Sarah and the rest of the staff were excellent. If you want to go on holiday, and know you are in the South of France, I can't imagine anywhere better than Villa Ferrage. It's brilliant. My sister said to me, Every stone step of it is imprinted on my mind. She meant the steps up to the pool, where she would come with a bottle of rose in the sun, and join me, snoozing on the lounger. Someone would have got some lunch from the village (before the shops shut.) And I would open my eyes and see the blue sky and the golden stone of the villa and a palm tree. We had a super holiday, day trips to Perpignan, Barcelona and Figueres where the Dali Museum is a must for any guest at the Villa. Last night, three weeks after our holiday at Villa Ferrage had ended, my Mum and me sat down & still the thing we most wanted to do was look our holiday photos again. Yes, there it was in 2D moving grandly across my phone, the old, calm stones of it, the big blue pool, the lush green mountainside that from 9pm every hot night is filled with a startling chorus of frogs, who stop around 2am, almost all at once. But you would only know that if you creaked open the old wood shutters and went out onto the terrace to listen, because inside it is still and the thick, whitewashed, cold stone walls of a classic Mediterranean villa shut out the noise. All of the furniture is comfortable and the house and objects are spotlessly clean. This is not a flashy villa though - it is graciously beautiful and has decorations like a Medieval cloth pendant in the entrance hall. The garden could be photographed and put in a storybook and there are loungers to lie on by the pool in the hot, hot sun.
If you don't want to do that you can go down the steep hill to Tourrettes-Sur-Loup, past the ancient Chapel Saint Jean, permanently open for passers by, with an odd, bright mural of Noah's Arc painted in the 1950's. Here, in the village - built in Medieval times as though they were calculating what would most appeal to tourists in the future - there is indeed great appeal for tourists. It is a gorgeous village and, at night, the square is lit with fairy lights. But you have to work out the opening hours of the shops before you feel grounded: they close between 2 & 4 and on a Monday there is nowhere to buy cigarettes. By the end of my stay I had gone from naive to native, and when we overheard some baffled (fellow) English people say, I wonder why all the shops are closed? we were able to tell them they'd reopen soon. There's a market on Wednesday and stunning restaurants and an ice cream shop and bakery. If the villa fulfills what your senses crave from a Mediterranean home, the village is just what you would hope for - and there it is, five minutes away by foot.
The villa slept 7 of us comfortably and Sarah and the rest of the staff were excellent. If you want to go on holiday, and know you are in the South of France, I can't imagine anywhere better than Villa Ferrage. It's brilliant. My sister said to me, Every stone step of it is imprinted on my mind. She meant the steps up to the pool, where she would come with a bottle of rose in the sun, and join me, snoozing on the lounger. Someone would have got some lunch from the village (before the shops shut.) And I would open my eyes and see the blue sky and the golden stone of the villa and a palm tree. And I would like to stress the exceptional approach of the owners.....they are really great, helpful and very customer oriented. We are really very satisfied by our holidays we spent there. We wish you a successful season and lot of clients so satisfied as we are. In fact, I worked in the tourism for years so that I can appreciate the really professional service of your agency on the one side and the really client oriented behaviour of the property owner on the other one.
